Could be. Before long people could be wanting black in there. If we add the black now that takes care of that. So basically we're looking at the total black ends of the jersey, or the black striping along with the gold and white. Seems everyone prefers the dolid black ends of the jersey, which I'm totally cool with too - I think either looks wicked. I am wanting green helmets though.
Did these just now. All I did was make the black piping bolder and I added stars down the side of the pants.
Love the pants. I could see this happening. Still prefer the other one, but this isn't bad either.

For the record, I'd probably end up buying a green helmet if they were available. The M11 ones look strange, but my thing is to have a different helmet and gloves than everyone else.

I think with the uniform actually live it would look awesome.
I should point out too that I myself did not do the original mock-up. Boardie RTStars11 did, I just found them and have been doing alterations here and there.
I'm fairly sure this is a new press conference backdrop. Oftentimes they can be clues as to what direction the club wants to go in, visually. It's green and has our real logo.
I think the principle one they used this year was black and had the DALLAS wordmark + the main logo + the Texas logo. Having trouble finding a picture of it at the moment.
Mike Heika has had an awful lot of twitter activity regarding Stars jerseys and fan preferences lately. Anyone closer to his area know of what he is up to? Maybe he is just curious and asking what fans like, but I found it intriguing.

He's talked about it for awhile now. He told me that if management sent in a request (or however they do it) to change the jerseys, they wouldn't even be available until after the next season. But he has stated that he thinks the change is coming soon.
And my guess is that when the moment finally does come, the input of the fans will be what they go by.
I agree for the most part, that if you go black on the ends of the jersey and socks, then the black helmet would cap it off. Likewise if you went green on the ends of the jerseys instead - the green helmets would probably look better. I disagree though about the green helmets not turning out well, we wore em up until 91 when we switched to black unis and they looked awesome. Only the Wild wear green helmets right now so we'd be pretty unique still and also going more retro - without really going full out.
I dont know who all on here was with the team back in those days and who wasn't, but as someone who was I can say they worked tremendously - a very popular uniform and they just looked sharp on the ice. And again, only the Wild have green helmets now so we would be pretty unique.
And yeah they have to have something in by Sept 12 in order for them to be good to go for the 2013-14 season - I'm confident that will happen.
I'm also confident that in the end it will be green unis. Good God though I certainly pray that nobody even entertains the idea of blue and red or anything else drastic.
Unfortunately, I can't find one with a crest (logo). I also can't find a crest that would work for this. But you could probably have one made somewhere or find one, I'm pretty sure of that.
