I thought it was an appropriate time to bump this thread. I've never been so disappointed about a team I follow so closely. We suck.

I would imagine that the lowest point will be when we score about 90 goals next year.

Nope, can't be down on a day when Jack Johnson is all but announced as the new captain.

I like fresh starts. The return actually had nothing to do with my comment, though I am content with it. I am now interested in next season because it feels to me like a new beginning, and I actually like a number of players on our roster.

agreed, something new. Somebody on the mains compared the Jackets to the Panthers last season, makes a lot of sense.

I am very curious to see how this plays out next season. I can actually say I have no idea how this team is going to perform.

No this isn't my lowest point as a fan.

I know how you guys feel. Seeing Gomez coming back while giving up Higgins and McDonagh was painful. It gets better though. 3 1st rounders in the 2013 draft is going to be big. Good luck, folks.

Well, I'm pretty close to being done with this team. There's a lot of things wrapping up in my life in the next month or so and I'm going to be moving and completely starting fresh. If this team isn't interested in competing for anything beyond the 2nd overall pick [God knows they'll never be allowed to win the first] I don't see why I should waste my time and energy following them and getting upset.

It's the lowest for me. And it happens on my birthday, no less.

Sure doesn't seem like to me like 'ole Niles got that big return he said he would demand for Nash.

Well, alot of you are happy now. The coasting, lazy, only plays hard for Team Canada guy is gone now. Better get crackin on your new scapegoat.

To me the biggest critic of this deal is Howson himself. He refused this deal or something very close to in March. What makes it a better deal today than when it was not enough to satisfy Howson?

I am pretty much indifferent to the team now, other than my intense disgust with MacJr. Jackets will be nothing more to me than a night out with friends. Entertainment (expensive entertainment), that is all.

Two young NHL players and two prospects...looks like it happened.

The difference between the deadline deal and this one is that we have Anisimov coming back instead of Miller and Thomas.

I'd call that an improvement... just not much of one.

Realizing that with Nash we would score 94 goals this season

Losing the draft lottery is still the low point, even if it did end up that the team got the player they would have wanted. It felt like just such a punch in the gut to have that happen after the season the team had.

It wasn't just losing it, but losing it to Edmonton.

Oiler fan I come in peace

I think I can honestly say that oiler fans over the age of 30 know just how you guys all feel. I am 41 and I spent many off season seeing guys like Gretz, messier, Coffey, Moog, Fuhr, Kurri and other leave town for verious of reasons. We feel your pain. It ook the oilers to bottom out and finish last for 2 seasons and then win the lotto to make the place likable to players. Since the cup run we have been one of the worse teams where people did not want to go to. Columbas is a nice place(been there a few times) and once your magament rights the ship, things will get better, ni a few years you will have one o the best d-s in the league.

Keep the faith and carry on your support

That is really all Nash could bring after waiting all summer? Not the lowest point but pretty close. Was starting to gain faith back in Hawson now I say he just flat out needs to go.

I think my new low will be when we are out of the race by Xmas again, when Nash has 60pts for Eastern Conference leading NYR.
