Ottawa will be fine CFL market once Frank Claire Stadium is done. They were simply run into the ground by a pair of complete morons that ruined the Renegades. There never should have been a problem there, they had great attendance the first few years, but those morons went out of their way to alienate the fanbase, then just folded the team. The new owner is Jeff Hunt, owner of the OHL's Ottawa 67's, he has knowledge of how to run a fanchise and Ottawa will easily be a solid franchise, IMO.
Gliebermans.
If you're ranking pro sports owners on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being Bob Kraft (okay, that's my Patriots bias, you could make a case for Dan Rooney or Mike Ilitch as well) and 1 being Atlanta Spirit Group, Bernie and Lonie Glieberman would rate a 0. Seriously, those clowns made Ice Edge Holdings look credible.
Damn shame that Ottawa had to put up with their incompetence not once but twice.

Right now Quebec has nothing close to infrastructure or even desire to get infrastructure for a CFL team. No stadium and owners, nobody wants CFL there. The CFL's best hope is Halifax/Moncton/Fredricton and marketing it as a Maritimes team. Moncton has a 10000 expandable soccer stadium that is expandable to 20725 and has hosted the "Touchdown Atlantic" (a CFL regular season game) the past two years. But CFL comissioner Mark Cohon has said that it would likely need to get to 25000 to even be considered as a viable stadium for CFL. Halifax has no stadium or stadium plans AFAIK.
I could never quite figure that out with QC and the CFL, especially with football's exploding popularity over the last 15 years in the province. The way my uncle describes it, and I have no idea if this reflects the general opinion in QC, the CFL still has the stigma of being minor league there. They would rather cheer for a powerhouse college team like the Rouge et Or (and let's face it, as long as Laval can continue recruiting these stud 20 year olds out of CEGEP, they're going to be a perennial Vanier Cup contender) than a middling CFL team. You saw the analogous thing with hockey, where the Rafales and Citadelles were failures, but the Remparts have the best attendance in the CHL.
anyone see that new Edmonton Cup? its a competition between the Oilers and Eskimoes? they play eachother in hockey and football and the winner with the most points wins the Edmonton Cup

So hows the new stadium coming along? is it still looking like it wont open up till October/November?
Katz told Global it would either only be ready for the Banjo Bowl or not until next season. Then he told another news source it would be ready for the Home Opener.
He really just needs to ****

Thats a horrible forecast! Was looking forward to going to a few games this season
? The Ottawa team is just waiting on Frank Claire Stadium being done it's renovations. An ownership group led by Ottawa 67's Jeff Hunt have been granted the team. They are supposed to take part in the 2013 CFL Canadian College draft taking underclassmen and then will have the 2014 draft and an expansion draft in 2014 so the team can start play for the 2014 season.
