Whoever missed that call should be permanently removed.
He's either highly incompetent or cheating/completely biased.
Either way, he has no place reffing any more games.

The puck goes past Dupuis and a Flyer (don't know who) in the neutral zone. The angle is bad so to say that the puck couldn't logically have hit the Flyer or he could have touched it is wrong.

Colin Campbell And Gary Bettman come out within the same week to apologize for the misfortunate Penguins; 1st for the verbal insults directed at Crosby and now because the Penguins lost on a bad call that somehow made three other goals go in. Nope. The league doesn't favor any franchise. Not at all.

...watch the video. The linesman who is standing three feet from the two players raises his arm after the puck went by / through them. If the flyer had touched it, he would have waived it off.

EDIT:

@SheridanScribe: #Pens Orpik said Briere clearly offside on 1st goal but "they missed an icing on our third goal, too."

When its your team: "This sucks were getting robbed!"

When its not your team: "Sucks happens to everyone."

Its true that it does happen to everyone once in a while. sucks. get over it...everyone knows it was a bad missed call.

How is Cobourn supposed to know if the icing is on or not if he's already past both linesman.

.
Ummmm....he could play to the whistle like he did...it's not like he stopped playing. A gift breakaway is not even close to this icing play, which was just a battle along the boards. Hmmm....yeah sounds pretty even.

It was a blown call...do not try to justify it

You're splitting hairs--it doesn't matter which call was the more egregious error, because the had the same basic effect: two scoring chances happened because of two incorrect calls by out-of-place linesman led to one goal a piece.

If you can't see how the two balance out, I'm really not sure what else to say.

Good teams overcome bad referees. The Penguins sat on their 3goal lead and blew it. You can't lose three goal leads in the playoffs and the Penguins will be lucky to get another 3 goal lead against the Flyers. The Penguins didn't deserve to win the game. Hopefully they can rally back and make the series 1-1.

Have to say this makes me upset.

Why would Campbell say anything? He never has before.

He never mentioned the officiating when Malkin didn't get the automatic suspension in 2009, or the too many men for almost 30 seconds. Or when Clowe played the puck from the bench and no one called it. Or the thousand other officiating oversights he could have spoken up about.

The league has a favorite child and it is pretty evident who it is.

Yeah! It's awesome! Get over it losers! The NHL has fixed the playoffs already and it's all just a formality. You should stop watching. Or at least stop coming around here and posting!

Or maybe he did and you just never cared. Nor did anyone else, because back then they didn't spend their lives crying about how biased the league was.
