I never thought I would hear a coach say that about Penner. A force?

Hopefully the Kings go over a lot of video that shows a lack of activity on the PP and need more shots and net presence.

Faceoffs need to be better, but that's always been a problem vs Vancouver.
They scored 2 goals on the PP, so there is no need to complain about last night. The Canucks were terrible on the PP, but no one thinks the Kings will shut them out when shorthanded over the course of a series. The Kings won the special teams battle last night. Teams that do well in the playoffs find different ways to win over the course of the post season. Let's hope the Kings continue to do so. And I agree, the FO numbers were poor overall, but I primarily blame that on Herby's boy Stool. Kopi and MR had a decent game in the circle.

Thanks man we haven't won in so long we some can't deal with it yet, lol , and for those who don' get it the reason the whole hockey world hates these guys is their antics, flopping ,when touched or worse loungo now flops anytime someone comes near him, contact or not. This is one of the most talented teams and guys like kesler should be loved ,being an american olympian, the sedins are a joy to watch two guys with one brain but they are the biggest *****es around and disgust most who watch, and their fan base , I can't say because I would get admonished and put on probation again and we are going to have too much fun the next few weeks to deal with that. These new followers for lack of a better term don't dislike us,phx. st louis, nashville, chicago and maybe some redwings because this is hockey and playing the right way is damn near as important as winning or losing

That's awesome, let's hope Penner reads that. Penner gaining confidence could be huge for this playoff run.

People who picked Penner as a dark horse/X-factor heading into this game now have my full attention. If he wakes up and starts giving his all, our team gets significantly more dangerous. He had a horrific start to the game last night but I felt his play just got better and better and better as the game wore on. Now only Stool is playing like a huge liability on that line.

Kings played a great playoff road game - especially while handling momentum swings and Vancouver goals. Didn't allow Luongo to frustrate us. We need to just work one play, one shift, one period, one game at a time. Fun to watch the kids

GKG !!!
Agree with everything but the record part. If they were in our division, they wouldn't have as good a record.

Just remembered the Luongo flop in the first period. He got wacked with someone's stick int he chest protector.. nothing hard. He then proceeds to throw himself into the back of the net like he just took a bullet to the chest.

If the Kings win game 2 then we can get silly. Home ice means nothing. One game is a start but it is still only one game. However for all the Nucks fans that were saying this series will last only 4 games I hope they were right

Yeah, everyone is talking about the other player dives, but Luo's sticks out in my head. I think I may have laughed the hardest at that one.
