Who wrote these? I've never read such sharp criticism from local media.
I agreed with almost all of them. Ferriero's was way over the top harsh though.
I thought Demers was a bit harsh too, I mean sure he had a terrible season. But McLellan misused him a lot, it seemed like whenever he would have a good game and was starting to skate better he would get replaced with Colin White. It's hard to find any consistency when you're sitting in the press box for half the season.
Basically I agree with the grade he was given but not some of the comments being made, especially saying he hasn't proven he's an NHL quality Dman.
I can't believe how much he's ripping on the Moore trade. Moore wasn't exactly impressive, but he's not awful. Besides, he might do something in the playoffs. I think this guy might be a HF user, because he put waaaay too much importance on a 2nd. Knowing the Sharks, the player drafted with 7th that Tampa gave us along with Moore will be a roster player, while the 2nd would be a career AHLer
It can be one of a couple of things. One, I'm pretty sure that there was an avatar theme of a similar kind at one point here. Two, since it is a camo thing and likely has Brent Burns behind it, it could, and likely is, about the military usage of the term.
Often used by NCO's in the military. The term would be used when an individual or a group must complete a task that is pointless, tiring, and/or lame.
NCO: Hey gather up, we need to mow the grass before we are released today.
Soldier: That's ********, we had all day to do that.
NCO: Well then just embrace the suck and get it done.

Thanks. I had no idea that was military jargon. After a quick google, apparently it means "the situation is bad, but deal with it". Not exactly the most motivating expression.

It's just meant as a way to bear down and do what you have to do.

The true humor of it all, is remembering that you volunteered to put yourself through the wringer.
