Hands off him, he is going to the Isles.

And how do you know that? Forsberg still plays swedish-2 league, not even a top league. You can't even compare them, only by WJC where Zibanejad dominated Forsberg.

I agree with you. You can't say with certainty how any of these players will perform at the next level.

That said, Zbad didn't DOMINATE him. Out performed? Yeah. Dominated? Not quite.

Don't take notice of him. He, just like all the other fins that hate on him, wakes up at night sweating because they hear the name Forsberg ringing through their darkest dreams. What if another Forsberg was to come along and make the nightmares come true again? The horror!

And the two games they played against eachother in Sweden Forsberg was the bigger threat.

Definitely Forsberg in his draft year... he's nearly a year younger than most of the kids in this draft and he was a consensus top 5 pick (could have even challenged for #1 according to Button at the start of the season).

If he was born like a week later, he would be taken in next year's draft probably as a top 2, top 3 pick.

Zibanejad had a rise in the rankings, I don't think he was even top 15 mid way through the season. He wasn't exactly good in the WJC but did score the "Golden mini goal"

Finishing top 5 was too important for the Leafs after the disastrous season, and the Leafs are just guaranteed one of the top four forwards. One of Isles, CBJ will definitely take Murray, and if they don't, oh well, having a Murray-Gardiner D pairing will help the Leafs just as much.

I've seen Z-Bad more than Forsberg but Forsberg have impressed me more. Two years ago when he played in Tv-Pucken he would just dominate his opponents. He could very well be the next swedish superstar in the NHL.

If I had to choose between the two I would take Forsberg 10 times out of 10, he just seem to have more potential that Zibanejad. I think Forsberg has potential to be a future superstar (will he reach his potential? maybe not but I would sure use my 1st round pick if I had one to get him to my team) while Zibanejad probably will develop into a decent 2nd-line player and maybe even a bit better, I think he is more likely to reach his potential than Forsberg is.

Well...I can't say I never did. I said what I was HOPING for.

Lot of Leafies won't accept anyone other than Galchenyuk at 5 an consider anything to the contrary to be a failure and a disgrace. Gally's my dream pick at 6 but my eyes are on guys who are more likely there (Trouba, Dumba, Reinhart, Forsberg etc.) and I'd be perfectly happy with any of them.

I get the feeling if Burke passes on Gally we're gonna see a lot of this

and

<especially that

Especially if it's not Forsberg.

Leaf nation would be fine with any of Gally, Forberg, or Murray

Coulda fooled me. I couldn't even suggest that Burke MIGHT pass on Gally without getting flamed.

I even heard stuff like "I'll straight up KILL Burke" (twitter not HF)

I bet they draft Gaunce or Girgensons, they are a Burke type of player.

I was talking about a scenario where Galchenyuk is passed up. I was like...what? Galchenyuk is from Belarus.
