Best game by Artem this season. Ditto for Staal.

Overall a solid effort--with some lapses. Henrik held us in there for a while. The Gaborik goal was huge--Boyle's as well. Callahan was stellar throughout.

But it's only the first. Got to keep at it.

Here's the video CBC intro video before the game tonight. Isn't Rangers/Sens exclusive but we're there. It's awesome.

Imagine how good this team would be if we didn't have such a clown for a coach!

The whole team played fabulous. Besides that last breakdown that lead to the 2nd Ottawa goal, the game was ours, especially after the timeout. We controlled the game. Ottawa's first goal was just an awesome set up. Blame some of the D for not picking up Alfie, but that was a hell of a deflection. That second goal, ehhh... Whatever.

15 more wins, please.

Hey guys,

Please don't respond to the trolls. Just report them and we'll take care of them. It makes it a lot easier for us.

Thanks!

I thought the team played with WAY more energy and desperation than Ottawa.

The problem though was that earlier game they were really struggling moving the puck up ice or making simple passes.

It got better as the game progressed but it certainly isn't what it needs to be.

The Defense played solid except for the occasional blunders. We completely nullified their forecheckers. We pretty much won like 90 percent of the board battles.

Hank was very good, didn't give up any softies and was good at staying square with the puck.

The team needs to work on their breakouts and their transition coming up ice. Ottawa's D is dreadful when they don't have the puck. The Rangers have to exploit their bad positioning.

Staal played his best defensive game this season. Flawless, in my opinion. Didn't shy away from anything.

They need to be better.

If they can play like they did in the second for most of the playoffs, they can give any team a run.

QUESTION: Is there a thread where I can go (Rangers thread) for the Bruins and Caps game talk?

Great game! This is the team from November/December!!!

Callahan led the team the entire first period. 1st star. Lundqvist 2nd. Anisimov 3rd.

He was probably our best Dman tonight. Except for the last goal, where he overpursued the puck carrier instead of collapsing on the far left side. You got to let the wing or center take the man entering the zone.

Dubi Played a hell of a game. Didn't score a goal but was definitely a star for the game.

I totally expect to see Carkner play next game.
Ottawa got owned physically, even with Neil pulling his regular crap. They will try to change that, I bet.

If he does play, scratch Mitchell and throw in Scott and put him on the 4th line. Mitchell didn't do much anyway.

Carkner won't make much of a difference.

They are so soft on their back end it doesn't really matter. They aren't soft up front but our D plays well against them in the corners.

Torts said exactly what I seeing from the team before the time out "they were slapping the puck around too much and giving the puck back to them."

EXACTLY Torts
