I officially lost all respect for Michalek and Spezza. Don't know if it was mentioned, but the fans booed, we saw. Those ****s put on their helmets and skated off the blue line and around their half of the rink after "land of the free". All respect lost.

Nice way to start...get that first win at home out of the way, and don't let Ottawa think they are in this series. Pittsburgh and Vancouver already failed that first test. Every loss means one more game you have to play to advance. Henke...just superb....Caly leading like a true captain...and the big boys scored, too. Staal was excellent.

The Rangers made Karlsson a non-factor tonight.

He is a godawful D man when he doesn't have the puck. Dubi blew right past him more than once.

Got a kick out of Rosen's call on the Richards' goal...

"BRA-AAAD RICHARDS!"

Sounded like he was singing his first name.

What of the Bruins players did that also during the Bruins game IIRC

I think it's because he was getting set to say Brian Boyle but kind of changed midway through Brad.

He was also shaky with the puck on a few occasions.

He does tend to disappear in physical games (at least from the ones I've seen). Gotta keep it up. Cant give him any room or he'll carve you up.

I think the Rangers did a great job of not allowing OTT to come through the neutral zone with speed. The couple of times they did do it (once most prominently from Karlsson) they looked dangerous. Have to make sure they're speed is a non-factor otherwise that's when we get in trouble.

Have to be impressed with the way the Rangers played, good in all three zones, aggressive and smart.

I thought early on the game we were overpursuing the puck in their corners. But later as the game progressed the center was staying higher in the O zone offering support to our Dmen.

I was actually surprised that we still played with a two man deep forecheck. The key is there was always a high forward protecting against the Sens breakout. Plus we were winning the vast majority of the board battles.

BTW, one of the best games for Lundqvist since March. Only goals that beat him were unstoppable.

Just got back from the game. Great game all around, save for the last 10 minutes. But the crowd still gave Hank a standing ovation after the Alfredsson goal.

1 down. 15 to go.

SO glad we came out big tonight and sealed the win. Should be good for confidence going forward.

One thing that was a bit frustrating at times was our inability to CLEAR THE PUCK out of our zone, our D would just throw the puck up the boards straight to their point men, and they would just start the cycle all over again. We have to be quicker in breaking out of our zone and make smarter passes.

McD seemed real nervous in the beginning of the game when he was losing the puck left and right but he seemed to solidify as time went on.

They got a taste of what the first round will be like... now it's time to perfect our game.
