Holtby got to play late in the season last year and really acquitted himself well. That's why I was a little surprised that they went after Vokoun. Glad to see him getting a chance to showcase his wares, even if it's due to injuries.

I'm imagining if Rinne and Lindback both went down with injuries....i think we'd be quite a bit worse off

Watched lots of Caps last year, Holtby did show promise back then. I think they preferred letting Holtby get more experience in the AHL before throwing him in. Hershey is a great development org for them.

So I am not shocked he is performing well, but they pressure from Bruins has been big. Good game to watch thusfar.

Sharks - Blues

I dont know what to think about this series.

1. I hate the Sharks.

2. I hate the Blues

3. I think we have a better chance of beating the Sharks than the BLues

4. A 7 game series against the Blues would really get some ill feelings and bad blood going between these two fan bases. Could be fun. But makes me nervous.

I'd rather the Blues, Hawks, and Kings win.

Be STL vs LA and NSH vs CHI

Then us and STL win and it's us vs STL for the west final.

Blues look good in OT. Sharks will be lucky to come away with a win

Wow, that was oddly familiar. Kane sets up tying goal with 14 seconds left. Another OT game on the way

All the games were crazy tonight. Except NYR OTT. Kind of 1 sided. Love the playoffs!

Anyone know why the NJD/FLA series hasn't even begun yet?

Most likely TV scheduling. I didn't see any conflicting events on the arena schedule.

Ahhh Dan Hamhuis. Tips over at the blowline, giving up a shorthanded breakaway goal.

Remember the Hamhuis-Klein paring?

Four of eight top seeds held home ice through game one. One of those four lost it in game two ... the rest haven't played a second game yet. The elite Pens have blown 3-1 leads twice in their 4/5 matchup. The President's Trophy winning Canucks can't score a PPG and are lost two at home against the #8 seed.

There are no easy matchups and ours is going as expected ... a dogfight where one bounce can cost a game. On to game three.
