Interesting to see the numbers of how the Dallas Stars impacted hockey in the city of Dallas. They only had 1 ice rink before the Stars arrived in Dallas. Dallas now has 28.
This article is kinda false, but fun to read. The first Dallas/Texas raised NHL prospect that I can remember is goalie David McKee. After that, my former teammate Teddy Ruth (2007 #46 overall, now a CBJ AHL league prospect), who was traded for Sergei Freaking Fedorov at the 2008 trade deadline, was the next Dallas raised prospect to go somewhere. After that, we have the likes of Austin Smith, Matt Donovon (NYI prospect from OKC that played in the Dallas leagues), Chris Brown, Stefan Noeson, Seth Jones etc. I love the Austin Smith story, it's just that he wasn't the pioneer of the craft here in Dallas.

Have season tickets to the Tornado, but won't make it to tomorrow's game. Really hoping they can push it to Friday, but the Runners are a great team. Listening to the two games it seems like each team is pretty even, just Topeka has gotten the clutch goals. The big guns need to step it up tomorrow (Prince, Biggs, Leisner if he's in net). I still think Amarillo may be the best team i've ever seen in the NAHL season wise this year. A 46-7-7 record is just ridiculous. We have put up 4 of those L's though . Anyway, hoping they can push it to Friday so I can at least see a game before the Robertson Cup. Go Nado!

Tornado didn't deserve that loss but man what a game. That hat trick was awesome. Where were you sitting? I was in 106.

Yep.

Think it's ridiculously stupid in a best of 5 to give the lower seed the first two games. Understand it's for costs on traveling but uck uck.

Was 80 up until last year. League lowered it for whatever reason.

Texas Brahmas look to rebound from 8-1 loss at Wichita; they are also down 0-2 in the series as the series switches venues to Texas.

Game 3 Wednesday

Texas Brahmas have to win the last two games to advance to the CHL Finals, down 3-2 to the Wichita Thunder. Tonight is game 6 in Texas, where the Brahmas are 4-1 so far. Should be an entertaining game.

San Antonio Rampage leads Wolves 2-0 in AHL Western Conference Quarterfinals
Oklahoma City leads Houston Aeros 2-1 in AHL Western Conference Quarterfinals

Texas Brahmas were eliminated last night, losing in overtime to the Wichita Thunder 3-2. Wichita wins the series 4 -2 and will await the winner of the Fort Wayne/Missouri series to see who they play in the CHL Finals.

Tonight:
San Antonio Rampage and Houston Aeros take the ice in the AHL WCQFs

Schedule for the Robertson Cup:

Thursday
St. Louis Bandits Vs. Fairbanks Ice Dogs 12:30
Port Huron Fighting Falcons Vs. Bismarck Bobcats 3:30
Amarillo Bulls Vs. Texas Tornado 7:30

Friday
St. Louis Bandits Vs. Bismarck Bobcats 12:30
Amarillo Bulls Vs. Fairbanks Ice Dogs 3:30
Port Huron Fighting Falcons Vs. Texas Tornado 7:30

Saturday
Port Huron Fighting Falcons Vs. Fairbanks Ice Dogs 12:30
Amarillo Bulls Vs. Bismarck Bobcats 3:30
St. Louis Bandits Vs. Texas Tornado 7:30

Monday
Semi-Final #1 3:30
Semi-Final #2 7:30

Tuesday
Championship Game 7:30

I truly think the Tornado can go 2-1 in pool play which should get them to the semi-finals, the only game that will be tough will be Vs. Amarillo on Thursday. Gonna be a great three days of hockey in Frisco and I highly recommend you catch a few games if you are able to. Gonna only miss the first two on Friday and a bit of the first semi-final on Monday. Can't wait! GO NADO!!!
