Interesting little tidbits:

Pens are 9-1 all time in home Game 2's after losing Game 1

Fleury is 3-0 all-time in the playoffs after losing to the Flyers.

Honestly I don't expect the Flyers to win tonight but if they do I think my confidence will be through the roof. I just checked stubhub and tickets to game 4 are only 115.

I'm also at the tech center writing this post because my first class was cancelled day is starting off beautifully already .

Haha same here! My only class today is at 3 in Anderson. So, I'm leaving now to get in line for the elevator. /Temple inside joke

I wouldn't mess with what works if I was you, lol. 2 goals in the first five minutes, Lavy timeout, Flyers control the game for the duration.

Winning Game 1 on the road
Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Jose

These teams still have historically done well in the series, but their record isn't nearly impressive. They are, after all, still underdogs.

Teams that have won Game 1 on the road have a 109-94 (.537) record in the series. They generally lose Game 2, however, about two thirds of the time: 74-129 (.365).

But when road teams do manage to win the first two games on the road, they have gone on to win the series more than 75 per cent of the time: 56-18 (.757). So that likely makes Game 2 huge in those three series.
Some interesting facts I thought. Proves tonight's game is huge (like we didn't know that already)

I actually predicted that in one of the threads before game one.

Hahaha so true I'm lucky I've only had 1 class ever on the upper floors of Anderson and got to avoid that hell. I walk my girlfriend to class at 3 at Anderson rep a Pens jersey and maybe I'll see you in the line or maybe I'll just walk up to some random dude assuming it's you lol.

On Wednesday I was walking too Ritter for a presentation at like 5 for the grad school I want to go too and someone really leaned out their window and yelled "**** the Flyers" at me I didn't even get to respond I was just like

This feels just like Wednesday my whole entire day is just leading up to this game the anticipation is killing me. The one player from the Flyers who I really want to see show up big time is Voracek I feel like he's just about ready to break out the guy can really get to the net and I think he can have a huge night one of these next few games (if an overtime gamewinner isn't big enough).

I hate how thatrefers to the Flyers as underdogs it's a 4/5 matchup that the Flyers won during the regular season, yeah the Pens are the favorite but to say the Flyers are underdogs is like calling the 9 seed of an 8/9 NCAA tournament game the underdog and that just not the case.

Haha, sounds good. I have a pair of Forrest Gump red nikes and wear the only Pens hat (it's vintage) on campus. It would be cool to actually see another HF poster in person, especially a fellow Owl.

I want to see Lavy call his TO just before the opening faceoff, just to see if it works for Philly.

Maybe I am taking it the wrong way thinking that you are being sarcastic but Lavi’s timeouts work

His timeouts work, pregame speeches however not so much.
If i were him i'd just play Al Pacino's speech in Any Given Sunday and call it a day.

Yeah, just joking that if it takes the TO from the start, Philly would play the entire 60 minutes

I dont want them to be down multiple goals again within the first period again. I cant take it and it is going to stop working for them eventually. I heard a stat by Keith Jones saying the Flyers have only been ahead within the first 10 minutes like 3 times in the last 40 games or so.

Flyers lost the first 2 games at home in 2000 to the Pens then won the next 4. Series certainly wouldn't be over if the Flyers win.

Pens probably win tonight, but even with that the flyers are in a position if power given the next two after this will be in Philly and the flyers have already stolen a home game from Pittsburgh.

Jagr needs to bury one tonight.

Does he still have the dangles this year?

You mean does he have old man balls?

I would bet so.
