Man poor Sutter, Who do you give the spot to for today? Lokti has the speed to keep up with the Canucks, but Westy has the size for anything they try to dish at us. Tough call. do you go with speed or size.

I think the Kings will come out on fire. Gonna be a big game for both teams.

But maybe we come out on top... maybe.

Exactly. This game will be a little learning experience for the Kings.

I expect lopsided refereeing to favor evening the series. I expect the Kings to see what Vancouver's potential is tonight. I also expect in game adjustments to be made by our coaching staff.

I'm hoping our Kings are ready to pass this test too. I believe they are.

This is a team that too often is satisfied. They need to find some killer instinct and do everything possible to come home up 2-0. Every game the Kings win in this series (or any series) makes the next win that much tougher to get.

The Canucks are gagging. Stick a garden hose down their collective throats and turn it on full blast!

How long can the Kings hold down the Canucks' power play? The penalty kills were magnificent on Wednesday. I expect the Canucks to make adjustments and try to get better entry tonight. If the Kings continue to slow entry and disrupt the attack, they'll have another good chance at winning tonight.

Hard to have predicted that the Kings would have the special teams edge in this series. Key factor in game 1. Game 2?

If we can get out of the first tied, then we have a really good chance of winning this game.
I would ratehr see Loki than West. Canucks are not the biggest team and are more known for theit speed. We are one ofthe bigger trams in the league already. I would ratehr have the speed considering the nucks get last change, depending on this game Westgarth's minutes and playing situations can be more easily managed at home.

I htink the surprising thing is that the Kings PP scored (although with 2 5-3 how do we not). Our PK has been amazing all year minus the last two games of the regular season.

An Omen!

My fiance just broke her Vancouver Starbucks Mug.

I told her that we are trying to break the will of the Vancouver Canucks tonight. In her non-hockey way, I think she has supported the Kings efforts.

Go Kings!

If there was a game Quick needs to "steal", tonight would be it. Vancouver will come out strong in the 1st and Quick needs to weather the storm. Winning tonight would mean the Kings only need to go 2-1 at home to win the series.

Go Kings!

I would expect the Canucks to play with a lot more discipline tonight than they did Wednesday.

So the answer is Loktionov.

Regardless, the Kings will miss Clifford's grit. Hope he's a fast healer.

I love Sharks fans. Even when we play them I can't dislike them for long.

Them being a division rival I should jeer them, however for some reason I find myself cheering them on.
Not sure if I would if they make it to the finals though. I don't want LA to be the last Cali team to win a cup despite being the first team there.

This is the way I'm looking at this series. The kings are going to need 4 huge performances to win 4 games. Game 1 they had Richards come up big, it's on Quick, Brown, Kopitar, Doughty to be the next to step up. The Kings are a team that can be relied on to bring a solid defensive game every night but they'll need somebody to be the one to throw the team on their back and refuse to lose these games.

At this point they are almost as cynical and sarcastic as your average Kings fan with all their playoff disappointment. Plus most of them that I know are funny as heck, and understand the healing powers of liquor...

Nothing would make me happier than a 2-0 series lead and for the Canucks to get booed off the ice by their own fans. Make it happen Kings...

This is just to funny. All the other teams are wishing the Kings to beat Vancouver. I don't really know what the Canucks have done in the NHL to be "hated" so much. Can someone please explain ?
