Yeah, that's what the guys at TSN were hinting at. Man if Calgary goes into next year with the same core AGAIN, that would be insane. Feaster can't be that dumb, can he?

You have to wonder what's ahead when you see stuff like this happen. Sutter has a much better grasp of what's needed to be done down there than Feaster does. The Flames should've move Sutter up stairs and fired Feaster.

Sutter wont get a fair shake in in Edmonton because of his last name, but he is entirely worthy of being considered as head coach heading into next season. Personally, I prefer a a no-nonsense coach like Sutter and Tortorella, but if Quenneville gets axed you have to consider him too.

Feaster is a bit of a yes man to Calgary's ownership group. Their owners are extremely hesitant to blow it all up, which is why they've been on a treadmill the last few years.

By who? The fans? If so all he needs to do is show a winning product.

The ownership group ultimately calls the shots...the same thing happens in Edmonton.

The hypocrisy by some on this board (not directed at you Eytinge) is something to behold.

Every excuse is given to Sutter on why the Flames failed but yet Renney isn't afford the same luxury.

Amazing double standard.

If Quenneville gets axed, he'd have to be considered. Took over for Savard when Chicago had a lot of young talent, but was still losing, and completely turned them around.

To read that some Oilers fans are suggesting Brent Sutter be Edmonton's next head coach gives me an icky feeling. Yeechy to have Mr. Sunshine behind the Oilers bench.

Within 2 years Todd Nelson will be the Oilers head coach.

Brent Sutter will be coaching Eberle, RNH, and Dubnyk.

... at the World Championships.

Isn't this the team being put together by Kevin Lowe? Something tells me this may be a bit of an dry run to see if Sutter is indeed the guy coaching the Oil next year.

I don't like Sutter's borderline trapping style.

It is the team Kevin Lowe is putting together.

And now the NHL_Oilers twitter is tweeting that Brent Sutter has been named the Team Canada Coach. That's... peculiar.

Heh.

Weird that NHL_Oilers would tweet it. But I guess it's considered hockey news.

Interesting.

Feaster is nothing more than a boot lick.

He does what ownership tells him to and nothing more.

Feaster said at the deadline that he wanted to get rid of some player's and than got his hand slapped by owernship likely. Ownership is running the show and there is nothing feaster can do about it, he is being told to re-tool threw free agency and trades no matter what. As long as its not the "core" being traded. The ownership is in love with iggy and kipper. They seem to have made some type of oathe year's ago that Iggy and Kipper would be flames for life and I doubt they change that now.

Dear God, fire Kevin Lowe before he hires Sutter for the Oilers.

I think you're going to hear Sutter go out of his way to praise Eberle and Nugent Hopkins, lol, he wants the Oilers job IMO.

I don't think he's the right fit here though, someone else mentioned it above but I agree ... the Sutter's suck the fun right out of hockey.

Even though I know it would probably turn out badly, part of me wants to see the Oilers hire Sutter and have him take the team on a playoff run in his first season, just to see the reaction from Flames fans.

Sutter is a mix bag I don't think hes as negative as he looks on the bench though, he is actually pretty soft spoken. But I do think he wants his teams playing a more defensive style. I know from listening to him talk when Nuge was drafted, he has a mancrush on Nuge from his days with the rebels.

Watching him this year though it did appear that he wanted to hang himself on the bench ahahha. It was a fustrating year for him to watch crappy vets coast around. I imagine some flames fan's would be happy to see him succeed even if its with the oilers. Fans didnt dislike the guy, alot liked him.

I don't think Sutter was even with Red Deer while the Nuge played there,

I beg to differ. I love watching Sutter make the Nucks look like idiots.
