Thanks, I actually forgot to update this but Portland has blown a 3-0 series lead. Kamloops just tied the series up tonight which included coming back from being down 5-2 going into the 3rd period.

Brossiot (and the Oil Kings) are now 10-0 in the WHL playoffs, along with a 1.40 gaa, .950 sp.
Looks like it'll likely be a clash of Brossiot vs. Bartschi/Wotherspoon in the WHL final, with guaranteed Flames prospects in the Memorial Cup.

I havent actually watched any of the Oil Kings game but Brossoit has spectacular numbers.
For anyone that has watched him play, are his numbers a reflection of how good the team is? Or he's just that good?

Both, Edmonton is just really deep at every position. Without Brossoit, there is no way they are on such a winning streak though, I mean he made 48 saves last night, and the oil kings still won 6-1.
He will get serious consideration for a spot on the Canadian WJC' team next season.

Agreed, his presence on the Heat is not needed. He development will continue best where he currently is at. I see no reason why he won't challenge for a spot in the 2014.

Markus Granlund has extended his contract with IFK Helsinki until 2014 and Calgary has loaned goalie Joni Ortio to IFK for next season.

So unless Markus leaves, he can't be here until the 2014-15 season?

the odds of him being an NHLer by then are extremely slim, this would just have him playing in SM-liiga instead of the AHL

Im fine with this, he is a long term project, let him develop over there and play in a respectable league, when and if he becomes ready he'll come across

Brossoit nominated as CHL goalie of the week after being named WHL playoff MVP last night.
You guys might just have your Kipper successor right here.
