Kubel not showing up with the bat, and his defense is really not helping me right now enjoy the signing. Tons of money spent, I'd like a bit more. I know, only 51 outs into the season, but still. He's gotta hit with runners in scoring position.

Not sure why Parra wasn't given a chance to be the starting LF this year.

Me neither. Parra hit near .300 all year, and is a much better step up defensively. 2 games in a row I've noticed a play where Parra probably would have made both plays. What a slap in the face, win the gold glove, but have to sit on the bench. I want Kubel to work out, but it's frustrating as a fan to see Parra get pushed to the side just because he doens't have power numbers that Kubel might provide.
But to be honest do you think he will get those numbers?
I honestly don't think he will hit the HR numbers. The OBP, very much a possibility. But he's off to a good start with the HR, but he was seeing the ball well today. He could have nearly had a 3rd HR.
Not the ideal way to do it, but we swept! Down 6-0 against Cain, I figured we wouldn't be able to come back from that, but I'm glad I was wrong. This team is something special. Bring on the Padres! Looking forward to Cahill's first start as a Dback.
DBacks fans, what's going on with Trevor Bauer? I was assuming he was going to make the squad out of Spring. I didn't get to see him pitch at all this spring, which is disappointing because I would normally find a way to which his starts at UCLA, so I wouldn't know how he looked. Did Saunders pitch that well in spring or something? Or is it an arbitration thing?
By the way, I put you guys in the World Series before the season, so don't let me down hah

Bauer will be here soon enough. No need to rush him though. We have a solid rotation.
Kennedy
Hudson(I really really like Hudson)
Collmenter(1 bad start away from losing his job)
Cahill
Saunders
I expect good starts each day with this bunch. Gibson really likes Collmenter for some reason, but Saunders will be able to hold the fort, and Cahill I'm sure will be just fine in the NL.
The one person that is actually in trouble is Collmenter, he had a terrible spring, and yesterday wasn't much of an improvement. I don't know why he was in the #3 spot for our rotation. Miley came in and pitched 4 innings of no hit ball in relief, and kept us in the game against the Giants. He was fighting Collmenter for that last spot I felt, and after yesterday, might get it if Collmenter has another bad start.
Bauer will be up towards end of the season I feel like. He's a stud though, he's gonna dominate.
Bauer has the most potential I've ever seen from a Dbacks pitcher...ever. I can't wait for him to make his debut.
If Collmenter keeps struggling, I'd send him down again and then call up Corbin to fill the spot or transfer Miley from the 'pen to the rotation.
Giver Bauer some more time to prep himself mentally for the big leagues as he's got all the talent in the world but so did plenty of other guys. But we should see him soon enough. And I can't wait.
That was a rough outing to be sure, but Matt Cain didn't fare much better. The bottom line is that he made the cut out of spring training; I'm willing to give him a pass for one crummy start.
Full disclosure, I've been pulling for Collmenter since he first cracked the rotation. I enjoy watching late-round picks climb their way into the majors.
But I have to admit, I would have expected him to be the 4th or 5th starter.

I've followed two pitchers with decent intensity through their collegiate careers, Lincecum and Bauer. The similarities are great. Bauer is going to be your #1 for a long, long time. I can't wait to see him and Timmy face off. I may have to fly out to either city for that first match up.

Timmy better hope Goldy isn't in the lineup that day.
Suns 8 games left, and still 2 games back of 8th. I really don't feel like they are going to make the playoffs. Not that I care, Suns not making the playoffs might would help the Coyotes media presence even more. I just wish they weren't in the position they are, so they could improve their draft position. Either way, I want them to do well. Definatelly looking forward to the off season, and see what happens with Nash and what other additions we add in order to keep him, if in fact that's what they want to do.
Diamondbacks, should be undefeated still, but such is life. Didn't get to watch the game the other day, but I guess a home run in the 8th, where CY nearly caught it was our demise. We aren't doing well hitting with runners in scoring position. Kubel finally got an extra base hit last night, hoping he comes around and hits like we expect him to. All in all, a good start. Giants are having terrible pitching problems right now, which could be good come later on in the season. Giants are better than they are playing, and I feel are the biggest threat to the Diamondbacks this year. And what's going on with the Dodgers?! Daniel Hudson on the mound today against the Rockies. Let's go Dbacks!
Well, we got 1 game in the Rockies series. I forget the exact number, but I believe it was under .200 with RISP. That won't win you many ball games. We need to be doing better with our scoring chances. Collmenter gave up 5 runs in 5 IP the other day. Cahill looked like a machine on the mound. We get the Pirates now at home, should be able to get a couple games, if not all of them. They are important because we also have the Braves coming up, followed by the always dangerous Phillies. Would be nice to get some good momentum going into those series.
