I agree I dont think it is terrible concept

Might appeal to more family oriented players as it shows the Jags care about not just them but there families

We'll see how it works out, but I can see why they'd want to try that.
I have no problem focusing on character guys, they've been targeting those types successfully since Gene became the GM, but it just seems so.... Unusual. In theory, it sounds great, in practice I have a really hard time believing it will work out that well.

EDIT: Khan has definitely been much more vocal and up front about the team's practices, which I personally like, but I'm not sure this gains them a ton of favour in the media. NFL pundits love ******** all over them as is.

See I'm the opposite. I think this could have a fairly decent chance to atleast do some good.

Now I have no way to verifying this, but I'm sure spouses/girlfriends/mistresses etc. have a fairly big impact on a players mental status off the field.

If say you get a guy who's constantly fighting with his wife, then that could affect how that player performs on Sunday.

I remember Brent Grimes' girlfriend/wife absolutely went off on some reporter for saying Grimes didn't play well (to the point where it was irrational) on twitter.

I think it's that sort of stuff that would give off red flags.

Matt Light is going to retire.

Pats will definitely be looking at OL early in the draft.

If Al Davis was alive he'd already be a Raider. And even though he's not, I think the Raiders should be showing interest. CB is a decent sized hole for Oakland heading into this season.

Talib trade rumors were vehemently shot down by the Bucs yesterday.

Who's going to trade for someone who could be going to jail in a few months?

Maybe not. They have drafted a pair of OTs high in recent years (didn't they draft an OT in the 1st last year?) Maybe an interior guy, but they also have Cannon from last year.

Yeah, Solder is the franchise LT. Only OL that I could see the Pats drafting early on is a center.

Solder is solid but Vollmer is full of health problems. They need some depth at T.

NFL Sunday Ticket dropping 40 percent to $200 next season.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ket-under-200/

No clue if it is going to be that way for the PS3 or mobile versions, though. I hope so.

So the Falcons have apparently turned Hard Knocks down.

Wonder who will be on it?

^ NFL Films apparently is fighting to make sure it aint the Jets.

They want Hardknocks not Tebow/Ryan 24/7. That's a different series althogether.

Darelle Revis may holdout again:

Quote:
It feels like just yesterday we were on Revis Watch. Could we be headed there again?

Back in the summer of 2010, Darrelle Revis' 35-day holdout ultimately led to a front-loaded, four-year, $45 million contract for the New York Jets' perennial All-Pro cornerback.

And now Revis is unsure if another holdout is ahead.

"I just don't know. I'm not saying I am going to hold out. I'm not saying I'm not," Revis told the New York Daily News on Monday.

"Right now, my focus is being on the team," Revis said, but his agents are busy at work:

"(They're) going to do the best for me and try to do what's best for me. It's my career, and I'm in control of it, what I can do," Revis told the New York Post. "I know I'm under contract. We'll hash that out when the time comes."

Third time holding out is it not?

LMAO! Now he wants a long term contract now...his 4 year extension not cutting it for his liking.

Revis will be all alone on that island if he holds out...again

Signed him a while ago

And from what I understand he is good in run blocking/poor pass blocking

He is behind several G's already (Williams , Louis , Spencer) so low risk signing

I'm not sure where you heard that, but he's not good at anything.

Former Bronco LB Nate Webster found guilty of 4 of 5 counts of unlawful sexuel contact with a minor

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/n...h-minor-042412

Quote:
The prosecutor's office said Webster could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. Webster could have faced up to 36 1/2 years in prison if he had been convicted on all counts
Tapes of Webster admitting to police he had sex with the 15 yr old girl prove to be damning and haunting to his defense
