Of Lombardi, Connolly, Komisarek, I expect that at least one of those guys is gone. My guess is Komi. Hes had 3 seasons to make up for the bad season before and he hasnt dont it.
Connolly is the easiest to trade with only one year remaining.

Lupul-_________-Kessel
Kadri-Grabo-_________(Kulemin?)
Kulemin(?)-Bozak-Frattin
Brown-Steckel-Orr/Rosehill/Crabb

Gunnarsson-Phaneuf
Gardiner-Schenn
Liles-Franson/Komi(hope not, but tough contract)/Holzer

Reimer/______________

the holes up front need to be filled with size. If we can find some kind of top 6 centre with size for Kessel, awesome. If Kule regains his form of 20+ goals(30 is a bit of a stretch to repeat imo) and finds his chemistry with Grabo, great. Moen would be GREAT on the left side of the third line.

Another reason why he was in a bottom six role in Anaheim is because he was playing behind Perry, Ryan, Selanne, plus a few others and he was still fairly young. He's a much, much mature player now then he was in Anaheim.
This, plus Carlyle played Lupul more than any forward his 1st game here. I know to Carlyle it's water under the bridge, but is it the same for Lupul?

Macarthur needs to go. He's the next worst on this team behind LACK. His stats are misleading, he scores a lot of garbage time goals and non-meaningful goals. He's by far the third best player on his line, and much of his points are products of Kulemin and Grabo's work. He's not that physical, creative, or fast. Burke shudda got teh 1st rounder fo him when he had the chance. I would much much rather have Kadri playing on that line with Grabo next year, I've had enough of Macarthur.

I agree, I really do like Franson a lot. He showed some flashes of being pretty good imo.

Remember it must have been a huge adjustment for him coming to Toronto. He had pretty high expectations coming in. I remember the article about him wanting to be the guy for this, the guy for that. He probably saw that he was better than a guy like Komisarek, and when he wasn't playing, it was a tough pill to swallow.

Not to mention the headlines and the media here. It's a big change. I think he works his butt off this summer, and surprises a lot of people next year.
