I wonder how many tears will the iSheep be shedding now that even more users will be able to use Instagram.
I've read a lot of them are already flocking to iOS exclusive PicYou causing their servers to go down with the influx of users. What sorry bunch of human beings.

Apple is a like a cult. Fanboys (girls, cant be discriminatory anymore) worship the cult.

Hey, I just bought Apple stock (costs a freaking fortune). The more fanboys (girls) the better!

Can't help it. The comments/Tweets from iPhone users in the link I posted on the last page really infuriated me.
When I read **** like "So you Android losers got Instagram now?? Smh..Now I know how male-supremacist felt when women were first allowed to vote..." it make me want to kick that person in the face.

Honestly though, I don't know what's sadder: some iOS users being snobbish about a program that allows people to share pics + crappy filters or some Android users being butthiurt because nome iOS users are snobbish about said program.

Well, I guess now RIM and WP users can get in on the action....

You'd think as a species we can move past the need for superiority of one class (even an artificial one) over another. Clearly that isn't the case, even amongst the seemingly educated.

Hell why don't we go back to having segregated toilets and drinking fountains while we are at it.

That only happens in the movies...besides some people are more concerned about some perceived social standing than anything, a type of vanity and consumerism. (Although, instagram just strikes me as a twitter redux).

I remember when FB opened up from just people with .edu accounts, and people whined then too.

I dislike iOS, but the iPhone is a far better piece of hardware than any Android phone on the market. I just wish that there was an Android phone of this quality, because I'd probably switch back. There is just such a huge difference in build quality. So, no. Not all users are "sheep" as you would like to believe.

Remember, I used to own an Android phone (two of them).

The one's highlighted in the post I'm referring too wouldn't know any better TBH (I'm not referring to all iPhone users as mindless followers). Those are the iSheep. If you make an informed choice about the product that is best suited for you then power to you as an informed consumer that commands my respect for doing the due diligence in choosing a device that suits your needs not because everyone else is using that said device.

Also, I humbly and respectfully I disagree about Apple being unrivaled in build quality. HTC has, in my opinion, been pumping out hardware (Sensation, Vivid/Raider, Amaze 4G all were built like extremely premium devices) that is just about as good as the iPhone and the One X (by the many reviewers that have had a chance to use one) supasses it in terms of build quality. Even the HTC One S is an amazing piece of engineering on par if not better than the iPhone 4/4S.

Even Nokia's N9/Lumia 800/Lumia 900 are in several ways better build than an iPhone.

I understand it's a pretty subjective matter so I'll leave it at that.

Not to sound like a dick but I've reviewed over 15 Android devices. I understand you're trying to show you're unbiased but it's completely irrelevant to whether or not people acting like complete morons (Instagram whiners) should be called out.

This.

Getting angry because of troll comments is just stupid. BTW, a lot of Android users resort to that same kind of arguments when trying to boast that their phones are the best.

I was even mildly amused by some of those comments.

It looks like a cheap-o 7" ICS tablet will be for sale later this month for only $150. A 1.5GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage are expected, along with 8-hour battery life and stock ICS. The resolution is only 800x480, but it has microSD and miniHDMI support. It looks goofy, has a goofy name and surely isn't built well, but $150 is hard to argue with.

http://androidspin.com/2012/04/09/7-...ater-in-april/

Speaking of price, Toshiba announced a line of three new tablets today that start at $500, even for a 7.7" model. The pricing makes me want to facepalm.

So I got a free...unopened Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G.

Think I can trade it at Futureshop for a Transformer Prime? Do they track IMEIs when they make sales?

Sell it on Craigslist/ebay? Then take the money and buy a Transformer Prime or iPad 3? Profit?

Well after watching reviews on the One X, as of right now I'm split between it and the Galaxy Note. The size of the Note does not bother me either.

What do you think of the Note?

Okay, I've been contemplating this for a while now so hear me out.
I keep hearing how HTC One X is "ruined by Sense" by a lot of reviewers. Now don't get me wrong I'll admit I've like Sense for a long time but I've preferred stock and have been using it for my phone for over 2 years now So I know my way around both and there are things I like in both.

So I came across this video. It seems to enumerate all the "problems" people have with sense. After watching it I realized there is NOTHING to complain about sense about other than just not liking the style which is subjective.

So many of the "problems" are not even problems to begin with.
For one complaining about the folders? Really because it has a + in it? Also it's slightly slower to show an Animation really 0.1-0.2 seconds really matters? It's not even a lag stutter it's a smooth interpolated animation.

The next one is The launcher, pause the video at 4:50, he says "Here HTC screwed up the launcher, we prefer the stock launcher because it shows more apps". Looks closely, there are 20 apps shown in each phone.

Then widgets, he goes on to show how much more "intuitive it is" to have them displayed in the launcher. Here I can understand and in somewhat agree, but to be perfectly honest I think both ways are fine.

Also I just want to say, as someone who is a experienced in game programming, he says that the "accordion" effect is more taxing on the cpu than the glow effect. I can hold heartedly say that is a complete lie. In fact, I'd go out on a limb and say that the accordion effect is in fact more efficient than the glow effect as the glow effect requires additional calls to the graphics renderer while the accordion effect only requires changing the x, y values of the menu entries. This is clearly a case where in an attempt to "bash" the a particular part of sense the "inefficiency" card was played and was completely wrong.

In the end the complaints all revolve around power users wanting "responsiveness" and not fluff. I disagree, not everyone wants a cold, mean, utilitarian experience. Why can't people have looks and power.

Anyways just wanted to sound off.

I also never understood the Sense hate. It's miles ahead of TouchWiz, LG Crap Skin, Sony Skin, etc. Even sometimes, it's better than stock.

I really think that he has a great point about the app switching screen. You can see 4 apps at once in stock ICS, but only 1 at a time in Sense 4.0, meaning that you have to do a lot of swiping to find the app that you want. HTC really wasted space with that screen, whereas Google pretty much used it all.

Another thing that I don't like, but this is mostly preference, is the white settings screen. I greatly prefer the black settings screen of stock ICS. It's less in your face and, on AMOLED screens, uses less battery.

Just to make you feel better, though, I'll give you that it wasn't a very professional review and it seemed like he was reaching now and then. That came across more like one of those amateur YouTube reviews than something from a leading mobile website.

Who cares if you've reviewed 15 devices? I've probably played with well over that. You say "not to sound like a dick" but you certainly come off as one with a comment like that. You can't preface such an arrogant comment with "not to sound like a dick." It just doesn't work.

HTC builds nice things, but the build quality is definitely not up to par with Apple. There is a big difference in feel, fit, and finish. HTC is top notch -- for Android phones.

And the Lumia 900? You mean the phone that Nokia ruined with ditching the curved glass? I may have agreed that it'd be up there with the iPhone if they had not ruined the design with that glass.

Hmm. I thought Instagram was a "chick thing". Like a MySpace for all the pretty things they want. At least that's how it is among the people I know. Not a single guy uses it.

And nobody I know brags about their phone. iPhone or Android. It's just a phone. I loathed my SGS, but Android phones are looking much better now. Why cheer for billionaires?

Am I living in a parallel universe?

There was a void of hyperbolism in the thread. Had to make up for it somehow.
