Ducks Draft Board #4

It was close between Galchenyuk and Murray but I don't think anyone was going to swoop in and make it so Gally won it. So...who's the 4th best player to the Ducks?

1.) Nail Yakupov RW 100%
2.) Mikhail Grigorenko C/RW 45%
3.) Ryan Murray D 48%

Forsberg.

Galchenyuk lost a year of development and I always worry about that. Although a center would be nice.

I think Forsberg is naturally a wing. But I could be wrong.

I'll go with the scouts BPA and say Forsberg. Already playing against grown men and has very good upside.

I don't think that hurt him too much. He was the best player on the ice in the Sarnia Saginaw game I watched.

But I guess a year's missed is still a year removed from NHL readiness, but I don't think it's impacted his future.

Alex Galchenyuk is the best player available and a center to boot.

Galchenyuk was in contention for the #1 pick before the season started. He had a tremendous year last year. So if he didn't progress at all between then and now, he could still be a great player in an OHL game.

However to be an impact NHL player he has to improve by leaps and bounds. All 17 year olds do. He missed on of the most crucial years for development (16-19 YO seasons).

I know there are some who don't believe in history and past examples, but I do. I would really like to know the past guys who have also missed a large chunk of time in those crucial seasons. And see how it looks in terms of whether they filled their supposed pre-injury potentials or not. I know that recent Ducks examples that I know of are not an encouraging group. Swan and Mitera.

I'm going to start a thread in the prospect board to get some examples.

I will keep voting Galchenyuk because I believe he is the real deal.

Wait is this an actual voting poll where you can click and vote or just vote by saying it? Dont think you can do polls on HF mobile so I don't know.

No it's a poll. But you can access HF's full site from smartphones and vote.
