My main point is that Petrino has made Arkansas into the competitive football program it is known as today and that hiring a big name to replace him without missing a beat is no given like some seem to think, especially this late in the offseason.

Valid point regarding the inconsistency of the program's level of visibility. The basketball program was clearly ahead during the down time from the 80's.
But with the roles reversed right now, and not likely to change anytime soon, this job will be fairly attractive.
I would suggest though that the school forget about going for the homerun hire right now & save that for next year.
