Koekkoek again was slotted in the top 10 before his injury and I think he even was in the top 5 (I don't remember) but he could be another Cowen situation.

I like him as a top 20 prospect but i'm like Manked where I would touch him with a 10 foot pole in the top 10. He has a good game. Others have better games though.
If you guys think there are big drops group the players I wanna see who and were you think the drops are.
First off, the drop offs below are not my opinion, but rather the result of an aggregated ranking from a number of sources, including the latet from CSB, FC, Button, MacKenzie, ISS, Redline, PuckProspectus and ESPN. Some are a month or more old (i.e. MacKenzie) and I expect some players on those lists to move up (like Teravianen at 28 on MacKenzie's list, being the biggest example). This will reshuffle the tiers, to a degree as I'm sure the diminutive Finn will likely catch up to Ceci and Fakso to create another minor tier.
Below are the tiers, including the player's average rank:
Yakupov (1.1)
-
-
Grigorenko (3.1)
Forsberg (3.3)
-
Murray (4.5)
Dumba (5.5)
Rielly (6.3)
Galchenyuk (6.9)
-
-
Troubba (9.5)
Reinhart (9.6)
-
Ceci (11.1)
-
-
Faksa (13.0)
-
Collberg (14.4)
Girgensons (14.6)
-
Aberg (16)
Teraviannen (16.3)(
Gaunce (16.8)
Pouliot (17.0)
Finn (17.3)
-

Hertl (21.7)
Bystrom (22.3)
Koekkoek (22.6)
Vasilevski (23.0)
Maatta (24.1)

A very big cluster of 9 players between 27-31 including Matheson, Frk, Skeji, Wilson, Matteau, Lindholm, Subban, Di Guiseppe and Pearson. This is essentially your consensus 1st round with 32 players in the group. The next group starts at 34, which is a pretty big relative drop.
Before it's over a few other guys will get into the 1st round, I'm sure. Dalton Thrower would be one example that is starting to get clear consensus in the top 30, with some having him top 20.
The biggest gap in the top 20 is after Galchenyuk, and then another one after Ceci. But all the guys from 11-18 are pretty interchangeable, especially with some of that guys in the 14-18 tier being clear 'risers'.
He's gotten stronger, more comfortable etc. as he got acclimatized to London.
He's moving the puck better and taking a bigger role in the offense. Looks really good in his first taste of North American playoff hockey.
Awesome. I was really impressed with his defence when I saw him early in the season but he didn't look all that confident on the point in the offensive zone. Seemed he was thinking too much.

Ok cool thanks pretty much the talent I thought but I'm not an expert so I like hearing other people around here.
IDC about point totals, we need a guy that will block shots, and make it a nightmare for forwards in our zone, we haven't had that since volchenkov and chara (volchenkov was a pylon but could block any shot).

I'm of the mind that we can find that guy in free agency AND we already have Cowen who imo will be that guy. I'm sure Sarich wouldn't be difficult to acquire for example. I'm more concerned about getting a top notch secondary puck mover so Maclean can play his game when Karlsson is not on the ice.
I'd pay up to get into the top 10 to get a guy like Ceci or Rielly. Pouliott also really interests me but I have a fantasy that we acquire Mike Green in the offseason then have to 60+ point PMDs and become the offensive juggxrnaught we used to be.

If we draft 15th a guy like Ceci may still be around at 12/13 so moving up wouldn't cost so much. Thats my best case scenario.
It will be interesting to see if Murray tries to unload some players at the draft for picks, guys like Butler, Regin or Filatov who may not have a future in Ottawa in order to move up?

No one would want them. Butler will probably be resigned to a 2 way contract, Regin might stick around and Filatov is gone.
