He won't become a superstar. In order, for a swede, to become a superstar in this leauge you must have a twin brother.

Proof:

Henrik and Joel Lundqvist

Daniel and Henrik Sedin

Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk

yep, until he decided he didn't want to be a power forward anymore. He still has time, but he needs to know what type of player he is. A finesse passer he is not.

For sure. He really started to take off for a while there. This year has been hard for him, but i agree, he's young still. Still has hope. Only problem is, i don't think he'll be on the team much longer.

I think a lot of people forget Hagelin is a rookie and is coming out of the NCAA with no NHL experience and has been an asset to the team.

I'm not gonna set some insane expectations but I think he can easily be a 20/20 two-way forward. Tons of potential, just have to develop him right.

He pretty much was that already... Slightly more assists and slightly less goals.

Well, his numbers are inflated playing with Gaborik or Richards for most of the season.

Remember Dubinsky's numbers when he was on Jagr's line?

I'm saying Hagelin can be a consistent 20/20 player easily regardless of linemates, and that leaves a lot of room to improve since like you said he's pretty much there right now.

Not true, Hagelin has played on the 3rd and 2nd line for most of his games. I don't have a number on this, but he was moved up towards the end.

Yeah, but his scoring skyrocketed once he went with Gabby and Richards. He was doing well without them but on another level with them.

This is a tad premature.

I don't think he is anywhere near the two way player of a guy like Zetterberg.

He is probably going to be a really fast very good second line player. But I am still not really sure he is a first line guy.

He doesn't have the best hands, he isn't dominating on the boards, his shot needs significant work, as well as more confidence with his passing.

He is super fast(great at chasing down pucks), smart, defensively responsible(most of the time), and hard working.

He is a really good player and has a bright future. But lets not overdo it.
Ejaculatory infact. Don't see the sniper hands at all.

Toward the end of the season, yes, but not until maybe early/mid March when the Rangers started struggling.

Hagelin makes a difference every shift. The kid is FEARLESS.

He gets every 50/50 puck, and he makes the right play 9.9/10 times.

I'm telling you. He IS going to be a superstar. These playoffs are only further bolstering my opinion of him. I don't think I've ever seen someone use their speed so naturally and fearlessly on such a consistent basis while having such a high hockey IQ.

In time he needs to become more decisive on the quick exchanges in the offensive zone.

The speed is special though and the best part is its functional speed. It's not just speed you read about on hfboards but never see in action (hint hint).

I don't know why he got so little ice time tonight. I mean Prust, Dubi, and Tank got more time than him.

He's also incredibly agile.
Gaborik is fast...going forward. If he needs to separate himself from the D when the D is beside him, he is gone.
Hagelin is more like Bure in the sense that no matter what direction he is going he is blazing...

Hagelin is never going to be a superstar, he doesn't have the offensive ability to be a PPG player, but he does have the ability to play on the ice in any situtation and be productive. Those kinds of guys win you championships.

Hagelin will have 50-60 points next year playing a top 6 LW spot with most likely Richards and gaborik, the kid is still raw and hasn't even played a full season. We got an absolute steal here boys. LGR!!!
