Sorry if this info is posted somewhere else, but I checked around and couldn't find it...

Is there a max size for a .gif file to be posted in a thread? I don't mean max resolution, but how many frames; how long can it be?

I'm trying to have a .gif in my GDT but it's getting rather long (go big or go home, right?) and I want to make sure it won't crash the boards or fail or something like that.

There isn't a max file size, but I try to keep GIFs below 2MB for our Canadian folks. You also should make sure that your image host's size limit isn't exceeded.

Don't forget that GDTs for home games are also used in the main playoffs board. While this next point is almost never ever a problem for the Sharks GDTs, just make sure you're not doing extreme bashing of the opponent or anything.
