Obvious one is the playoff beard, I partake in that. I also watch Miracle before every Flyers playoff game. No joke. I watched it before game 1 against Jersey in the 2010 playoffs because it was on TV and it got me so pumped so I've done it every game since. I also always wear my jerseys in a cycle during the playoffs and only listen to music from Philly artists on game day. There's some other little stuff too.
I was a baseball player for pretty much all of my life, and we're notoriously superstitious so I attribute it to that lol.
I always crack a Yard's Philly Pale Ale right at puck drop if I'm home or at a bar that has it. I started the tradition just this year and almost every game I tried it at, we won. And it worked on Wednesday too
I wear the same Flyers shirt to work over my normal dress shirt on game day. Also orange dress shirt and black work pants. This year its my Flyers baseball jersey. Work has Phillies and Eagles shirt days. Why not Flyers? Guess I'll just have to have to wear it every game day from here on out.
If its an away game, or on NBC, I mute the game. Home games play at regular volume (again...unless its NBC).
This year I'm doing the beard-a-thon. No matter what my work says. It worked for my pittsburgh loving cousin a few years ago.
Nothing ridiculous, but I usually wear the same Flyers apparel the next game if they won. I wore my Talbot jersey for game 1, so that stays for tonight.
if i get home during the game i dont take my shoes off or change my work clothes til the games over.
also with flyers down by 3 last game i let my 4 month old daughter drool/chew/play with my flyers hat till the game was over. i credit the victory to that!!!
I was wearing my new pair of shoes on Wednesday and they won. I wasn't wearing them at the start of last night's game, but after the Pens went up 2-0 last night, I put them on.
