Too late but the Habs sent 6 players to Hamilton after last night's game: St. Denis, Palushaj, Geoffrion, Leblanc, Mayer, and Dumont.

I think they have about 24 active non-injured players on the roster now... will there be an upcoming ECHL exodus as well to cap off the season?

They are officially out of the playoffs with the Bulldogs losing and other teams winning last night.

Wheeling was eliminated in the first round last night, so no. But they released all the players that were on amateur/professional try-out contracts.

Really wish Geoffrion and Leblanc could've spent a season together in Hamilton, Geoffrion especially to find his offensive game.

Great win for the last game of the season for the Bulldogs. They started out 2-0 and then choked it... But then Palushaj walked to the high slot and blasted one top ched with 42 seconds left to win it. Geoffrion and Callahan(SH) scored the other 2 goals.

I also picked up 2 signed pucks, one pacioretty and one leblanc.

I was surprised they dressed schultz after he got cut just above the knee, it was weird to hear them announce so many healthy scratches last night though. Never heard how bad Delmas "upper body" injury was, tough break for him though.

Well they both got the summer to heal as the season from hell is now over. Can't even vent my frustrations towards the guy most responsible, they have fired him. I don't think there will be anyone that was on our year end roster start in Montreal next fall. The biggest change will be on defense where we have five guys coming in who were not here this year. Can't remember, is Mayer still on contract? If not there should be two new goalies as well.

These guys are under contract for next season so far,

G- Mayer, Delmas

D- Stjekskal, Tinordi, Ellis, Pateryn,

F- Leblanc, Nattinen, Avtsin, Schutlz, Berger, Dumont, Lefebvre, Gallagher, Bournival, Holland

Beaulieu should be signed at some point, Kristo and Quailer might turn pro or might not. Then there's the RFA's and any other FA's the club looks to bring in.

Just a side not, the Dogs finished the season 14th out of 15th in their conference, they had the lowest goal totals in the league with 185 in 76 games

Not too excited about that goal tending duo. Would like to see a veteran signed. As for the D Stjekskal should be in the ECHL. I assume Nash will be back as well. I would think they will qualify Freddie. I would like to see Conboy back and maybe one or both of Fortier or Masse. Hard workers. Berger and Lefebvre should at least start in the ECHL. Is there anyway they can get rid of Avstin, buy our contract and send home? I don't think Enqvist will come back to play in the AHL and that would only leave Palushaj. Not much scoring there, was not a fan of Willsie this year even though he picked it up in the last quarter of the season.

Possibly a concussion (again).

I doubt they won't have Geoffrion up with the habs all year. As for leblanc, I'd like him to spend more time down there, but again, I doubt it. I also doubt that Palushaj will be in Hamilton. Possibly not even with the organization anymore.

looks solid but im looking at holland on the fourth, gallagher on the third, bournival a winger on the fourth and can i possibly be thinking we have.... too much talent down there?

i know palushaj needs more time in the AHL but he also could be benefitting from top 6 time in the NHL, not this 10 minutes a game playing third/fourth line ********....

We'll see what the new gm does as the goaltending position for the organization is likely the worst in the league so something needs to be done about it at some point.

I would assume that all of Nash, St-Denis, Conboy, Masse will be back, Fortier as well but he's had a lot of problems with injuries, will be interesting to see what the new gm does though in regards to the Dogs.

Berger, Lefebvre, Stejskal could all benefit from time in the ECHL, Pateryn may have to as well if he can't get regular ice time.

Avtsin they would put on un-condiditonal waivers, but not sure they would do that, but who knows what the plan will be with him.

Engqvist I can't see him back in Hamilton, I don't think Palushaj will be back and Willsie I don't see him back either. Not sure who the vets will be though.

too bad for him, getting a 2nd year in the same year is a bit of a concern.

I don't see a Delmas/Mayer duo winning a cup.

I wonder what's going to happen to Avtsin.

On one hand, he's shown nothing and is going to be pushed back further in the pecking order with real talent arriving next year.

On the other hand, maybe playing on a good team could actually help him? A decent Hamilton side didn't help him last year but maybe now that he's older?

Or he will just go back to Russia.

Masse isn't signed for next year? Do you think he'll be? I hope so... seems to be a great dept guy for Hamilton.

Really hope that Avtsin doesn't take too much quality minutes to players like Gallagher and maybe Bournival and Holland (at least I hope they will have a chance to prove themselves).

I had no problem with Avtsin having to accomodate himself with NA hockey, culture and language in his forst season. But he had to have a breakout year with his second season, which he clearly hasn't. For those who have watched Hamilton's game... did he even tried to make things happen or..?

This team would get their ***** kicked, only one forward on that list that can fight (Schultz). You need some tough players to protect your young prospects, can you imagine this team playing against the Marlies, the Marlies would beat the crap out of them. They need to re-sign Henry, and at least one more tough guy like Fitzgerald.

We'll see what happens this off-season but I wouldn't worry about it, as long as Gallagher/Bournival/Holland play well they should get ice time.

They may be lucky to make the playoffs with those goalies. Also, if the defense is going to go with four rookies they will need to carry at least 8 guys on the roster. With injuries, call-ups and the college guys running out of gas by January they will need them. Do you really think Gomez will be in the AHL? Where's Conboy and why Avstin? There is a huge lack of veteran presence with this group.
