New tier added for international buyers or those who don't want physical item. Seems like a good deal. It allows beta access at $55 instead of $75. You can actually edit your pledge if you want to switch tiers.

Pledge $55 or more
THE INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY ALL DIGITAL PACKAGE! You get one digital copy of the game DRM free for PC, Mac or Linux, digital soundtrack, digital concept art book, episodic novella part 1 and 2, and premiere access to an early playable beta on steam. This comes with no physical goods to help with VAT, duty and shipping costs for our international fans!
it sounds like they are making the game isometric. Maybe similar to what fallout 1 or 2 looks like (yes I know Wasteland was the inspiration for Fallout), but better graphics. This has peaked my interest.
edit: Am I reading this right? If I donate 15 bucks I get a copy of the game when it comes out?
edit #2: Ok, I'm officially a backer.

Blah, changed my pledge to $30, that's a pretty sweet bonus.
I'm eagerly waiting for this one to end so we can change it to a general Kickstarter thread, I saw a cool game that has the potential to be one of the best games in a certain category.
i'm kinda tempted to get in on this because i do like some of the stuff Brian Fargo did in the past ...but ...
#1. i never played Wasteland 1, so i haven't much of a clue about the game in general and might not really like it.
#2. Oct 2013 is a long ways off.
but @ $15 it might be worth a shot. i dunno.
from what I've read it's going to be similar to Fallout 1 and 2, but with updated graphics. So if you liked those games at all I think you'll like this. I even donated 15 bucks to get a cheap copy of the game when it comes out and I NEVER do stuff like this.

ya i thought those games were great and that's why i might get in on this.
that's a helluva long wait tho. over a year ....still its only $15.

It will take elements from the Fallout games but W2 will primarily be an updated Wasteland. The main aspect borrowed from the Fallout games will be combat and a little more focus on story. Just about everything else in Fallout was derivative of Wasteland so they are really closely related anyway.
The BIGGEST difference between Fallout and Wasteland 2 will be the creation of 4 characters as opposed to just one, being a party based game. There will also be 3 slots for recruitable NPC's in the conventional sense.
Check out this video where Fargo does a Q&A:

There are a few other good ones out there but most seem to be doing it wrong. They either don't have the industry contacts to make it successful, or don't have the track record of producing good-great games, or both. The former can be overcome if you already have significant assets to show off. But the latter is almost a death sentence IMO. Like the takedown the "hardcore tactical shooter". At least when you are asking for larger sums over 100k.
EDIT: Oh and for more info on the game you can go to the forums. Though keep in mind there is some REALLY dumb discussions there too. Like any forum. One thing that came out yesterday was there are 2 engines on the table for the game, one of them being Unigine.
I'm at the $30 tier... I'm trying hard to justify one of the tiers that will get me a physical copy of the game, but between the extra $15 for shipping, and trying to save up to move as soon as I can... I just can't justify it.
