I would like to see Richardson these playoffs. I think he would be a good add to the line up.

We should just start a new threat on the pic with Drew and see how many things we can come up with. I think he was dreaming of In N Out.

Does anyone have Brown's numbers since the Jeff Carter trade (aka the same night Bob Mckenzie mentioned that Brownie was on the trading block?) I know he scored a hat trick the next game after we acquire Carter, just wanted to know how much he's got since then, thanks

The loudest I have heard Staples Center this year was the Edmonton 2-0 game. That game was electric, even more than the San Jose game.

I think the San Jose game wasn't so loud because right before the game started, the Kings had clinched a playoff spot when Nashville beat Dallas. Everyone kind of settled back after that.

I am expecting this game to eclipse the Edmonton game. Its going to be deafening in there. I knew it as soon as we won game 1 on Wednesday. With last night's win, its going to be off the charts. I want fans wearing Vancouver gear to cower in that arena.

Richards in beast mode in Game 1, Kopitar/Brown in beast mode in Game 2. Looking forward to Carter going off in Game 3.

It's so nice to have multiple weapons on offense, and now Penner and Lewis are chipping in. Incredible!! Penner playing his best hockey as a King right now.

Props to Doughty as well. I don't think he is playing his best hockey yet, but the guy is eating huge minutes and is keeping his poise and not buying into any of the Canucks BS. When Doughty is controlling things on the back end, the Kings are breaking out of their zone with ease.

I'm enjoying reading the comments after the main TSN article on Game 2. Here's one from "dapointis":

Quote:
Ok this is getting unreal. The Refs are to blame again for a 2nd game in a row!. The first game they neglected to turn their backs when the puck was flipped over the glass twice. Now in this game, they are giving too many advantages to the LA Kings. The refs are calling too many unnecessary penalties against the Kings, thereby giving them too many opportunities to score short-handed. I reviewed the hi-lights and found that just because the Canucks fall down too easily when touched, this does not warrant giving the opponents an advantage by penalizing the Kings each time. GM Gillis should complain to the Ref supervisory committee saying this has to stop. Giving the Kings too many short handed opportunities is not a level playing field for the Canucks. Go tell them Mr.Gillis.
LOL

I know man. Gane 3 last year was insane, so much do that my dad need earplugs. No joke. But let's make this game epic. Let's seriously try to make this the loudest game. Everyone should just scream their lungs out when te kings come out or when they score. Wave your towel, wear black, and make noise!!

What a game, from top to bottom

Doughty has been a rock on D. He looks like that Team Canada defenseman right now; focusing on defense, contributing on O when he can, but being much, much more focused. I'm so happy for him. Sutter is having an effect on these guys, and the businesslike manner the whole team seems to exude right now is assassin-like. Not one of these guys seemed thrilled after the game

I'm soooo happy the Canucks fans that called for a sweep or Canucks in 5 have vaporized; we're left with somewhat reasonable folks, which is a bit scary.

Game 3 is sooooooo important. We have some ghosts to deal with at home. If we win game 3, we're solid. If we lose, we give them life. This is the most crucial playoff game the kings have played since '93, imo.

Our team is showing great scoring depth. Different players have chipped in both games so far. I hope we can keep that up. I really miss Gagne (Parse?) right now Our opponents always seem to forget we're missing him.

Can't WAIT for tomorrow!!!

I am not sure if Doughty is playing his best, but he has definitely stepped up into playoff hockey. I thought he had great control of the puck and made some heads up plays last night. When they got stuck in their end, Doughty was often the one getting the puck out of the zone!

Been a while since I posted the shot charts, but here are the game 2 shots:

Los Angeles Kings, few shots but a nice cluster around the net:

Vancouver Canucks, lots of shots but most from the outside (Quick was still outstanding):
