Anyway, Kirk Muller will be an assistant coach for Canada at the worlds.
Rutherford said that in his press conference the other day as well, but I haven't seen it anywhere else either.

I was listening to HNIC radio this afternoon and was suprised that Bruce Boudreau was not even contacted about coaching team Canada. He seemed to be upset about it too.

I always kinda assumed Boudreau was American because he's so fat.

I'm kind of embarrassed to hear he's one of ours.

Seeing as father is now the coach, I guess we know why he was uncomfortable.

It's meaningful to a few countries in Europe, that's it. I like watching the tournament when I can, but I'm not going to care too much about who wins (U.S. included). The Olympics and WJCs are what I really care about. I just don't care much about the WC because it's often teams filled with B/C-team players.

It's meaningful to all hockey countries in Europe. Very meaningful actually. Claiming otherwise is plain wrong. But of course it doesn't matter in countries with no hockey tradition like Spain, Greece, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, etc. so in that regard you're right it's only meaningful to a few countries if you include all since only a few actually cares about hockey. Of course I understand that it's only a minor thing in NA because of the Stanley Cup and all and because players are not as eager to represent their country as they are in Europe.

I'm not even sure it's so much about not wanting to represent your country as it is in North America it's all about the playoffs and the season over here is just flat out longer as is. NHL's 82 games, Czech league is 52, DEL is 52, Swiss league is 50, KHL is 54, SEL is 55 (what the hell?), SM-Liiga is the only one I've seen that cracks the 60 mark right at 60.

Just realised that Lukas Sutter competes for the USA, while the other three do so for Canada. Interesting to see, a few years from now when their older, Brandon and Luke (After we draft him, cause we all know we will) play against eachother.

Also, I'll defintely be watching all of Denmark's games. Let's go Freddie

I didn't realize until recently that Brandon has dual citizenship. Do all the Sutters?

Brandon was born in New York and Luke in St. Louis so those two do, the other two don't have wiki pages up haha. For the amount of travel they do, I'd imagine they do but not 100% sure. I know all but one of their fathers (I forget which) has worked//is working for the Flames so I'd imagine they prolly were born in Alberta, but don't know 100% if they are dualies or not.

Since Dubnyk got the first game against Switzerland, I imagine Ward would be getting tomorrow's game. His first start in this tournament.

Also, if I've got my information correct, Skinner's on a line with Sharp and Tavares. Which sounds amazing...

That line is what Chip said, so I'd assume it's right unless he tells us otherwise. That line is just.....

These are just exhibition games so it wouldn't surprise me if Dubnyk gets most of them. Once the real tournament starts it should be Ward all the way. Very clear who the starter is this year with Dubnyk and Hackett as the other goalies.

But they've got to give Ward at least 1 exhibition game. Shake of the rust and all that...

I really enjoyed his first world championship. Jiri Tlusty left behind hilarious season in Carolina, in a match against the Slovak scored first international starts, during the past week, then rolled in Brno KAJOTbet Hockey Games. Moreover, with new leadership Hurricane concluded a two-year contract. It seemed that all the disciples of the Kladno hockey lies at your feet, but eventually turned into comfort in disappointment. Fat is in Stockholm with the national team will not fly. "There was my shoulder, with whom I have had problems in the NHL. There is too much risk, so I arranged with the coaches that will not go for the championship," he says sadly.

I'm assuming they're referencing Muller.

Anyway, Skinner with an assist and an empty net goal in this past game. Sounds like Ward played well as well.

If that was "hilarious", I will never understand European humor.

Well, the Slavic and Nordic people DO have a pretty dark sense of humor in comparison to our more English-German based sensibilities.

The teams in WJC have players who won't ever even become B/C players in their careers and the teams play a much more naive hockey.

I'm interested in seeing how Cam does this time around with Canada. It's been a while since he's played on a team that played some semblance of defense.
