They look like a team that thinks their spot in the finals is already guaranteed.

I predicted a second round exit before the playoffs began and said next year is a better shot. The team has not looked like a cup winner all year. Gillis needs to take some blame. Losing Ehrhoff to free agency and keeping Ballard was a terrible mistake. Not adding a top 4 defenseman was a mistake. Kassian for Hodgson? Remains to be seen.
Ballard was a good Top 4 D in Phoenix and Florida. To me that points to a coaching problem. I'm finding it hard to blame Gillis when AV is incapable of properly utilizing what he's been given.

I thought if Friedman saw it, a relatively respected writer, those still defending the coaching staff would admit it. But they are even dismissing someone as credible as Friedman.

And Friedman was not wishy-washy about it. He called it bang on. Scouting. They scouted us hard. Kopitar was "waiting" for it.

This is one of the stupidest logic, I have seen in a while.

Because part of the game plan on the PP is to do a drop pass to gain entry, means you do a drop pass at the worst time?

Is Edler a robot? He does not have enough hockey sense to fake the drop pass and make kopitar out of position?

All coaches tell their players to shoot and skate, so if a player shoots the puck directly into their own net, we blame the coaches? If a player skates and hit himself against the boards, we blame the coaches?

The fact that I don't see a drop pass in every single breakout on the pp, tells me its not mandatory, rather dependent on the players decisions.

I mean this is common sense.

And trust me I hate AV as much as the other guy. I wanted him fired right after our first loss against Chi, we were outcoached quite blatantly.
