Balance. King gets the puck in deep, forechecks and opens up space for Richards/Carter. Keep things as they are. I like King where he is with current linemates - don't think he creates the chance that leads to Lewis's goal. Not a knock, just a chemistry thing. Penner has the experience to bring the 3rd line up a notch - coughs a few up as well, but has a more creativity than King to make the odd play happen. King on the 3rd line softens the 3rd line.
Yes, i think he should get some second line shifts. But just to mix it up a bit, not a full time spot on it yet. If the line seems to play even better with him up on it then you have to consider moving him up full time.
Kopi Rich and Cart don't work well together out there.
YEP plus it's really a mess with the line combo's once the PP is over ... because either Kopitar will be tired for putting out the 1st line ... or Richards and Carter will be tired if you roll out the 2nd line ... so to roll the 3rd or 4th line after a PP ? meh ... I know Sutter is somewhat addressing this by rolling the 3rd/4th line combo out for the final 20/15 seconds of the PP lately ... but I just think the whole thing could be better ... keep Kopi with Brown and move Penner with Richards & Carter on the 2nd PP for front net butt planting
Why on earth would you break up Kopitar and Brown right now. I know people have hated on this combination in the past, but it is working great right now.

I've been praising that combination since the beginning and the Crawford era They've always had fantastic chemistry.
As for Penner, I would move him up. He is playing very well, but I think he would be better with Richards and Carter. King hasn't been bad, but he hasn't stood out much either. I think he could add a bit more with Stoll than Penner for a grinding role, and visa versa with Penner and Richards/Carter.

Who wants to break them up ? I want to re-unite them back on the 1st PP unit as well ... Sutter has Brown on the 2nd unit lately and Kopitar on the 1st unit.

Check Post #8. Sorry, I should have replied to that one.
I am fine with Penner getting some PP time, but even strength I think the lines should remain the same. Having Penner on the 3rd line with Lewis the way they have been playing gives some balance to our lines.

This. I think MR-Kopi-Brown for the PP#1 and Penner-Carter-Williams as #2 would be worth a look-see. Rotate anybody with Doughty on the blueline.

Nobody wants to admit it (especially Herby) but Stoll played a heck of a game 2 and a big reason why our top 3 lines are so dominant right now. It almost negates the necessity of a 4th line really....
Not yet, but King has struggled in the first 2 games. Give King another shot in game 3 since the Kings are 2-0 so far, but Penner should get some extra shifts with Richards and Carter.
I think King is doing the job as LW on the second line. He is playing with jam, using his size, and is helping Richards/Carter operate. IMO there is no reason to demote him.
King has looked slow a step behind, penner seems to have some hop in strep and playing with some jam. Keep penner on the 3rd and move Loki up in the second.
penner hasn't earned the chance imo to move up. all season he has been lethargic and inconsistent, why the hell do you reward a guy for that. hell if it was up to me he'd be watching the game in the press box.
totally agree with others concerning King. the guy is keeping it simple. first in, hammer on the D, cause a turnover and create space for MR and carter. the guy is a step slow right now i think because he's playing it cautious. the PO's are another step up in performance. King now has 2 GP in the PO's, give him some time.
King looks nervous out there, there were a number of times he fumbled the puck, couldn't get it out of the zone, or didn't win a board battle. It is unlike him as he was usually strong on the puck, strong on the boards, and getting the puck out or to a teammate quickly.
His play has dropped since the playoffs started. Was expecting more from him. Maybe the two days off gives him ample time to rest, reset and reflect and come out in Game 4 with his best performance of the series.
