Doughty's game last night was his best in 2 years, flat out.

It's being reported that Daniel isn't traveling to LA and is out of the first round.

I think that is a smart move by Vancouver, now the team can focus without the distraction of if he will play or not.

I love you guys, no homo <3. And your team's twitter account is epic. For those of you unfamiliar with Canadian rivalries and inferiority complexes, it is very very true that you guys are doing the rest of Canada outside of BC (especially Ontario) a big favor. I'll be cheering for you guys all the way!

I was a bit surprised how dirty the Canucks were in gm 2 - they took late shots at Kings after most stoppages. Already down 1 - 0, and taking cheap shots that could result in penalties.

After Lewis' goal, he got crosschecked in the back... and many other instances throughout the game. I kept thinking if the Kings were hitting late, they would be getting penalties. Although with 2 SH goals last night, being shorthanded wasn't such a bad thing afterall.

Like others have said the kings have to split at home. They have sucked at home the last 2 playoffs and even worse they seem to always blow leads. Hopefully Sutter taught them a little killer instinct they they didn't have under TM. Canucks will come out flying and the kings gotta go for the throat.

I also think one of the reasons for blown leads is they get so pumped up at home. That is awesome but they gotta maintain focus and not forget how to play D. It also helps that this is the 3rd playoffs for most of the young guys/core players.

I'd rather they just win the next two and let me use my game 6 ticket money for the next round.

Congrats on another hard earned win last night. It's always fun to see the Nucks out there losing their heads, falling all over the ice, and getting off their games. Reminds me of the first two series with the Hawks and Nucks, where Vancouver has this sense of entitlement and then another team comes into their building and stuffs it in their face.

The Kings PK was great, you guys gave Vancouver nothing to work with out there and potted two shorties to boot. Keep 'er going!

I think so too. You could see it in that last Sharks game too. They just want so badly to do right by the crowd that they play with all emotion and very little focus.

That was a very different team. Part of blowing those leads was because the Kings were taking retaliatory penalties, and not skating away.

In VAN the Kings were skating away and leaving the refs stunned with a whistle in their mouth. We need more of that on Home Ice!

Still having a hell of a time winning draws. Hopefully that'll change at home. Stoll is the only one with good #'s.

"The Kings won 31 of 69 faceoffs (45 percent). Anze Kopitar won 9 of 24 draws (38 percent). Jarret Stoll won 12 of 19 draws (63 percent). Mike Richards won 6 of 15 draws (40 percent)."

Carter was taking faceoffs instead of Richards, not sure why.

Carter is a natural Center, and very good on draws.

Doughty has been a rock on D. He looks like that Team Canada defenseman right now; focusing on defense, contributing on O when he can, but being much, much more focused. I'm so happy for him. Sutter is having an effect on these guys, and the businesslike manner the whole team seems to exude right now is assassin-like. Not one of these guys seemed thrilled after the game

I'm soooo happy the Canucks fans that called for a sweep or Canucks in 5 have vaporized; we're left with somewhat reasonable folks, which is a bit scary.

Game 3 is sooooooo important. We have some ghosts to deal with at home. If we win game 3, we're solid. If we lose, we give them life. This is the most crucial playoff game the kings have played since '93, imo.

Our team is showing great scoring depth. Different players have chipped in both games so far. I hope we can keep that up. I really miss Gagne (Parse?) right now Our opponents always seem to forget we're missing him.

Can't WAIT for tomorrow!!!
This. It's all about how the Canucks miss Daniel Sedin yada yada... No one has mentioned that the Kings also miss a top 6 player in Simon Gagne - and one that is known as a great playoff performer to boot.

They are playing a very very good faceoff team. Anywhere around 45% for the series would be fine

Kings sucked at home in the playoffs over the last two years because they played with out composure, especially in the defensive zone. Hopefully Sutter can correct this.

I've been listening to team 1040 Radio out of Vancouver, and most of the media seems to think Schneider will be starting game 3.

Alain Vigneault seemed to disdain this idea in the Post-Game 2 interviews. That's not to say he won't turn around and do it, though.

IMO, as good as Schneider is, such a move might backfire and be more of an indication of desperation than anything.
