The problems the Ducks had this year weren't really on him.

You people are all insane, I would never give Carter a 5 year deal
But there is some truth in what I said. I fully expect this guy to get a $900k/yr deal should Lou want him back.

Ryan Carter is the perfect 4th liner. Lou better bring him back, that's all I have to say about that. The same can be said about Bernier as well. Screw Janssen and Boulton, both of those players are useless in the post season and at the end of the day, that's what matters the most.

Bump. Lou has made some great moves this past season. Carter was one of them.
Not gonna make an appreciation thread as I don`t know what the future holds, but...
I said you will love him and I`m happy it became true. I hope he`s back next year.
Can`t imagine this team w/o him and that says a lot.

Lou pushed all the right buttons this year. Each signing, pickup, trade worked to some degree. A+ for Lou this year.

Yep. This year saw vintage Lou again. Every move paid off. Every player brought in fit seamlessly into the room, and contributed on the ice.

DeBoer had a lot of say in some of Lou's decisions so do not forget to credit him with Lou
Pushing for some size and guys he had experience with
Pete made some suggestions and Lou was able to carry them out so kudos to both

DeBoer definitely had a hand in both of the moves discussed in this thread. Bringing in the size and capable bottom 6 players was essential to this run.

I would sign him, Gio, and bernier no matter what
we can always throw them down in the AHL or use them as tradebait if it doesnt work out, their value is high right now

I was gonna say Carter's definitely getting more than that...until I saw the date on this post (right before the postseason) lol. Yeah, the postseason definitely got Carter a seven-figure, multi-year deal. Wonder what the Panthers were thinking as he scored big goal after big goal the last two rounds?
