If anyone has the gamecenter service on the NHL website, they're showing the NESN feed there. So it's pretty decent quality considering it's an internet feed.

Well, I've done about all I can do. The NHL hasn't recieved enough complaints for them to get actively involved which, IMO, 1 complaint should be enough.
So I've decided to take action myself and screw CBC and the NHL. This may not work for you in Ontario (but worth a try). As for anyone else in Canada send me a PM and I'll give you the log in and password info to log onto Game Center for Monday's game. I'm sure the mods won't appreciate me just posting it in here.
I'm sure there will be plenty of requests and I'll answer them all when I get a chance. (sometime before Monday's game)

After the SD watching Thursday night, I was sure I had to go see the optometrist (thank you spell check ) for glasses. We pay $xxx for our HD packages and us Canadians pay for the CBC with our tax dollars!! We're stuck with CHEX TV. (I guess I should consider myself a little lucky compared to my fellow B's fans out West)
Typical bureaucratic BS... all complaints fall on deaf ears.
Hopefully, we only have 4 games to worry about and this will all be soon forgotten!!

I have Game Centre Live and it was blacked out for me - I'm near Kitchener/Waterloo so I don't know why it didn't work here then. It just said to tune into TV stations carrying it, which I couldn't.
Hey Canadians, it looks like CBC may have bent to the pressure of HF Boards. According to my guide on Rogers, Game 3 will be shown in HD on Centre Ice ch. 495 (Toronto channel lineup). For those of you who don't subscribe to CI, I'm not sure if it's a "free preview" type deal or only available to CI subscribers.
Having said all that, I'll believe it when I see it at 7:30 tomorrow night.

The same thing is showing for me on Rogers. Unfortunately that isn't a NHL Centre Ice channel, it's a MLB Extra Innings channel so it doesn't come in for me.

I subscribe to the Super Sports Pack (NHL, MLB, NFL, OHL, NBA and all that jazz) so I didn't even pick up on that. Wow. I'm not going to pretend to know the rules behind the broadcast rights but that is such BS. Let's put the hockey game on Extra Innings. Is this a CBC-Rogers joint blunder? I'm curious to know if Bell, Cogeco, etc are doing the same thing.

The game should still come in for you bud (If you don't have CHEX). Those channels change constantly. However, according to someone I spoke with at the NHL office in Toronto, The NHL told CBC that they had to make the game available to everyone.
From what I was told, CBC still owns the rights to the game and it will only be shown on CI to those that don't get CHEX, which means those of us that do won't be getting it in HD.
We can complain to CBC all we want and their excuse will now be that they have at least released it to be on CI for those that don't get CHEX. Still, a lot of people don't have CI.
Still think the best course of action is to complain to the NHL and have them put the pressure on CBC to release it.
BTW: if you're planning to get CI next year, get the Super Sports Pack. It's cheaper than CI alone

That would be great. I hope Shaw Cable realizes this though, because the last couple of times the game ended up being released to CI, Shaw was slow to react. Very slow.

I spoke to Rogers and they said that the game will come in on that channel (Rogers HD Channel 495) tomorrow @ 7:30PM.

Yeah I only subscribe to the NHL Centre Ice Package and I had it happen once before where they put a game on a MLB Channel and it didn't come in for me so hopefully Rogers knows what they're talking about.

I get a discount through work so it's a little cheaper for me to just get NHL Centre Ice.
