Still a 4 pt. difference after tonight. Real were down 1-0 at home to Gijon but squaked out a 3-1 win at the end. Barça had a really though game at Levante, who went up a goal in the first half on a penalty kick. But two second half goals from Messi (including a PK) got us three points.

Both teams looked a bit disinterested I thought. Like their minds were already on the midweek UCL games and next week's clasico.

That was a tad nervy for Barca at the end, but Levante wasn't lumping enough crosses into the middle to try to capitalize on them.

Surprisingly quiet here. 45 minuten until the game of the year.

Barça: Valdes, Alves, Mascherano, Puyol, Adriano, Busquets, Thiago, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Tello

Madrid: Casillas, Arbeloa, Ramos, Pepe, Coentrao, Xabi, Khedira, Ozil, Di Maria, Cristiano, Benzema

Nah the biggest game of the year is when Barca play Madrid in the CL finals.

Surprised to see Tello starting over Cuenca and Cesc. I'm personally happy but I thought Cueca had the upper hand considering he played against Chelsea.

Good foul by Busquets to prevent would what have been a real scoring opportunity.

And Khedira scores. Puyol put Khedira onside by touching the ball...

Not true, Khedira would have been considered to be interfering with play the moment he tried to tackle. Offside should have been given.

Question...

Assuming the scoreline stands, which I doubt, when was the last time Barcelona lost back to back matches?

Barca look aweful so far. Aside from that chance Messi just created.

They don't seem to be closing players down without the ball as quickly as normal either.

Madrid's league this year.

Suprised there wasn't a red card shown in this game (Ramos)

Pfff. Valdes responsible for one goal and weak for the other. Barca needed a real striker IMO for that game. Put Messi wide and stop putting Alves there, he's not good enough to play RW against a quick LB IMO. Puyol had a bad game too.

I have to say that even if the game wasn't great, neither team went too far in the acting, rolling and fouling. A few bad fouls here and there, some play acting by Ronaldo (but the contrary would have been amazing) and not too much fighting.

I think Barca are very tired and Barca fans should be worried about the end of CL campaign.
