They didn't do it last year, they won't do it this year. They are going with Luongo long-term and Schneider will be out the door before to long, no way they rock the boat with Luongo by benching him in the playoffs. He's their man, they will ride him.

I sure hope we put the heat on to test my/your theory.

I do know from observation that Bucci, Burnside, LeBrun, Melrose, and Strang all are hockey people, and I value their opinion (like 100% to 0% for the above clowns). Interestingly, only Strang (a NY Islander correspondent) has the series going only six games, the rest pick either the Kings or Canucks in seven.

The others I don't know about or can't find their bios in detail enough to render an opinion.

My feeling is that the ones who know hockey know this is going to be a lot closer than the clowns who really don't know hockey or the teams involved.
Steve Levy is hardly ill informed when it comes to hockey.

From Wikedia
National Hockey League broadcasting
Levy is a prolific and well known NHL broadcaster. He has earned the nickname "Mr. Overtime," for having called the three longest televised games in NHL history, all of which have been playoff games — a 1996 game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals that went four overtimes (third longest); a 2000 contest that also featured the Penguins, this time playing the Philadelphia Flyers, which went five overtimes (the longest); and a 2003 matchup between the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and the Dallas Stars, which also went five overtimes, and lasted six hours (second longest). The only two games to go longer took place before the era of television.

What's up with Melrose's loud laugh? It's ****ing disturbing and annoying.

ESPN has hired Boudreau who will be giving his analysis from ESPN's LA studio on SportCenter on game nights
Boudreau picked the Kings to win the series. He said he based his pick on playing against both teams and esp down the stretch, the Kings were a much better team, much harder to beat.

Also, just now on NHL live (nhl sportenetwork) prior to the PEns/ Flyers game, Melrose and Jones were discussing tonights Kings /Canucks game and Melrose threw a lot bouquets Richards way and said that if he brings the same game, that Vancouver struggled with one Wens, the Kings will be difficult to beat.

One of the other analysts earlier today from Vancouver said similiar and added that the Canucks also had no answer for the Kopitar line who dominated. He felt that the Canucks got off easy that some of those chances didnt' land in the back of the net.

They said from Kessler quotes that Kessler felt he played a solid game against Richards on Wens and didn't feel Richards was better, except for the goal and 2 assists. Makes you wonder about the size of the draft travelling between his ears...

To be fair to Kesler -which I hate doing- It's not like he's going to say that Richards dominated him and made him look bad out there, truth or not.

Kings in 7.

Along with two other people who I previously have never heard of but now have a ton of respect for.
Craig Custance used to work for Sporting News and replaced EJ Hradek when he went to work for the NHL.

James Murphy used to work for NESN but now works for ESPN Boston.

Both are on Twitter and post regularly. Definite follows.

I'd been wondering what happened to Custance recently; his work for The Sporting News was excellent (IMHO).

As for Hradek now working for the NHL...well, let's just say, "Figures"
