MLSE has no clue how to build teams and who to hire.
Vancouver is already better than them in only their second MLS season and it would not surprise me if the Impact beat them on Saturday to drop their record to 0-4.
This is barely related, but its so odd having both the Impact and TFC sponsored by BMO and both unis being BMO...

I'd say hiring Klinsmann's consultation and then subsequently Winter, Mariner, and Co. was hiring the right people. Prior to that, yes, it was a mess. This city is cursed.

Gotta disagree with you there, I don't think Winter is the right man for the job. This dutch style possession/Barca-lite play is great if you have the right players. Many of TFCs players have dreadful first touches and passing. (Dunfield, Stinson, Ecks, JDG who was horrible btw) I would much prefer TFC stick 5 at the back and learn how to defend.
I guess you missed Seattle get destroyed 6-1 against the very same team?
Anyone who saw the game can tell you TFC played VERY well in the first half and were representing the MLS very well. They let it slip away but Santos is a very good team. That last goal though... complete disgrace IMO.
Also on the broadcast they kept on wondering why Winter took Plata off, did anyone else think it was pretty obvious Winter was looking ahead to the next game?
Back to the canucks board you go orca, Whitecaps have not even let in a goal this year.
Yes - like Vancouver was going to whip that Santos team. Fact that Vancouver hasn't allowed a goal doesn't hide the fact the team has been extremely lucky and in its scheduling, has scored one goal in the last three games and has depended on miraculous saves and near misses by the other team so far.
San Jose should be a much better test of where this team actually is.
There were lot of TFC fans at the Big O this afternoon. Lots of "Calisse Tabarnac, who the *****s the Impact?" chants. Must admit, it's a pretty funny chant.
TFC have a serious Jekyll and Hyde thing going on right now. They play outta their minds in the Champions League (save for the last 45 min. against Santos) and yet they've looked terrible so far in MLS.
I've been an MLS fan since 96 and this just might be the season that makes me drop my TFC ST and revert back to attending games in the US. TFC has been consistently weak in talent and totally lacking in competitiveness.
Collectively: movement off the ball has always been rather pedestrian, few options are presented, let alone created; no width or shape; passes are frequently unplayable; and challenges, as clumsy as they are, are few and far between.
Hard to believe that this team is professional and allegedly train every day.
Harden, Dunfield and Stinson rise above the rest in both possessing no first touch or football acumen - just clueless.
Winter has to accept that he's not in Europe, the MLS salary cap and roster limitations won't enable "total football', and the league is fast & physical, not graceful or patient.
Needless to say, but I'm not looking forward to Saturday and Chivas.
.... otherwise, just another crap MLSE pro team....
This team really ****ing sucks. Harden needs to go, Dunfield is ****ing useless. Johnson is a massive ball hog. Koevs sucks. Plata has no first touch. The crossing is dreadful.
TFC needs Frings back (healthy) asap. I'm not giving up though... this roster beat LA on the road and drew against freakin' Santos FC(!!) just a few weeks back. Confidence is a little down right now but it's a long season yet.
I had family commitments so I couldn't attend or watch.
And I couldn't even give the tickets away.
Had the same problem last year. I've got three kids in three different age groups plus access to another few hundred families within the club and no takers for free tix on any of my emails or my posting on the club's web site.
I can't believe they let Chicago score in the first 25 seconds of the game. That was as lazy & ugly as it gets.
How an 0-5 team can be lazy at home in the first minute is mind-boggling.
