chances are...even then you're gonna come up with something like kings cheated, bettman wanted LA in, the officiating etc etc
theres always something..
so even if LA wins over you guys 10 times over...you will admit nothing.
so who cares, series over not over...iknow hockey, iknow what i see...and iknow that vancouver is good but the gap between them (if any) and the other 7 teams in the west is very very very minor.
The Kings won two games, same as the last two years. Nothing is over yet.
Full credit to LA and LA's coaching staff. They are very well prepared for the Canucks. They've studied almost every facet of the Canucks game, and have exploited several weaknesses. I wonder how much it has to do with Sutter spending so much time in the NorthWest division with the Flames. He has spent years watching the canucks and AV's system.
That said, there are ways around the aggressive pressure the Kings are putting on the Canucks puck-carriers. They have to find the open man, and their passes have to be much sharper.
That's just one dude though, the vast majority of Kings fans don't think this is close to being over.
I know. Most Kings fans are realistic and so are most Canucks fans. It's just always entertaining to see those unrealistic people either shut up or embarrass themselves.

Agreed, I wish that dude would just stop already. If the Canucks come back and win it, he'll just disappear.

It's true. Fanbase wise, the majority of the Kings guys seem to be humble and educated on the game. They have their oddballs just like we do, except we seem to have a higher percentage of people that embarrass us.

That's what's really depressing watching the last 2 games. The Kings look like they've read every single page in the Canuck's playbook and devised a completely effective way to neutralize it while the Canucks just keep banging away like a lab rat smacking its head into the same wall in the maze over and over again.

I have no problem with Kings fans generally. A lot of people hating on the Canucks aren't fans of either team.
so LA is playing their A game...kudos to them.... VAn is playing their B game and its close.
kudos to LA for being up 2-0...... now if Kopitar was out and daniel Sedin was out....
Simon Gagne is out for the Kings, their #1 LW who has a career goal average of 0.35 goals per game in the playoffs.
Daniel Sedin is out for the Canucks, their #1 LW who has a career playoff goal average of 0.26 and a better 0.38 goal average the last two playoffs.
Yes, Sedin > Gagne, but it's not as wide as some believe.
Dustin Brown is playing LW for the first time this season and is playing well (played RW before this season), that is the Kings depth that they haven't had in the past.
If one player injury prevents the Canucks from getting out of the first round against the 8th seed, they aren't as good as people believed.
Or maybe the Kings are better than most outside of LA believed and better than their record would tell you? The Kings since the Carter trade are the Kings most expected in October: depth on all 4 lines, great defense and a top 5 goalie.
Series isn't over, but the Kings deserve to be up 2-0 and it's not just because Daniel is injured.
Can Vancouver win the next 2 in LA? Of course they can and the Kings are 1-5 the past two seasons, nobody is taking a 2 game lead for granted. Game 3 is the biggest game of the series for the Kings.

I think this too. Way more prepared than in years past. Kopi's strip on the first goal was a good example of that sort of read. It was Edler, right? He looked like he didn't even WANT to make that pass, heh.
I agree on your second point, too--later in the game, the Canucks breakout was causing all kinds of hell with the forecheckers and getting some of your forwards LOTS of space in the neutral zone. It's nice to see some of the technical components of hockey play out with coaches that adjust
Lets not forget that the Kings forechecking like like crazy makes the nucks make bad passes and turn it over, we just do not give them the time they need to make the plays they want to make.

It's really not a comparable situation at all, even putting aside the really enormous gap between the players at this point in their careers. The Canucks entire offense is built around the Sedins. There isn't even a solid second unit powerplay since Hodgson got traded.
The Kings have had since december to make a fairly minor adjustment to their gameplan. The Canucks have had about three weeks to figure out how to adapt to having one of the major offensive catalysts on their team knocked out.
Having said that, the Canucks aren't losing because they can't score. They're playing undisciplined and sloppy.
The Kings are playing great, full marks to them, and they are obviously far more dangerous than their place in the standings suggests.
But three of the four goals scored on Friday were the results of stupidity and carelessness on the Canucks side. Hell, the Canucks deserved assists on the first Brown goal and the Lewis goal.
In any case, even if they somehow manage to grind out four games without Daniel, if he's not back this team isn't going anywhere this year. There is a huge difference between losing one of your best players early in the year or before the season starts and adapting over the course of the year and losing that same player on the verge of going into a playoff run.
so LA is playing their A game...kudos to them.... VAn is playing their B game and its close.
kudos to LA for being up 2-0...... now if Kopitar was out and daniel Sedin was out....
As I said before the playoffs..... any of the west teams can beat any of the other teams ...parity....
now if Van comes and wins two gms in LA... what does that say .....LA doesnt know how to finish off a series or chokers when the pressure on them.... OF COURSE NOT.... two good teams fighting hard
LA still has more to offer. We haven't seen their best yet. We've seen good games from some players, an amazing effort from Richards and Brown, but there is still more to come. Kopi is bound to start hitting. I still feel Quick will steal one if needed.
I understand your team could, and will play better, but don't imply you've seen all the Kings have to offer.
About Sedin, it's unfortunate, but in this game injuries happen, and if you are looking for fair and even we are missing Gagne (who has a great playoff history) and Clifford (we know how that happened).
This series is not over. The Canucks have a chance if they want it bad enough and we falter enough to let them. But at the moment, the Kings are looking pretty good.

Ugh.
I don't know...I tend to think if not for a couple of bonehead plays by Edler and this series is a lot closer. For sure, that turnover late in game 1 was the difference maker.
The Kings know about the tendency for drop passing. Kopitar saw that coming a mile away. That was a game-changer. JMO.
