Can't get over how young the German U18 team is, so many 95's. The U18 championship is already ruthless enough for teams to stay in the top flight, going to be a tough haul for the German team...

the 94er are really one of the worst german age groups in many years. the last time no german was drafted was in 2002 i think and 10 years later it could happen again.

Yeah, I guess the ones with the best chances to be drafted this year are players that weren't taken before, like Niederberger or Zeressen.

I mean there are some decent '94 born players (e.g. Klein, Klöpper, Ziegler) but not really anyone that screams NHL draft pick.

Germany lost to the Czech Republic today 3-2 in OT. 9 minor penalties (gave up 2 PP goals, including the OT winner) and Flaake received a 2+10 for a check from behind.

Pätzold was in net -- 25 saves on 28 shots, 89,29%

It is unknown if Greiss would accept an invitation, but Ehrhoff has already said no due to injury.

Basically it is still open if he will come over to play for Germany in the WC.

Greiss hasn't had any contact with Head Coach Jakob Kölliker. He would be happy about a phone call from him. He was last in net for the Germans at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
