Albany goalie Keith Kinkaid, a Union College product, got the start Friday and sustained a lower-body injury in the first period, but he continued to play.

"He didn't think it was that bad," Kowalsky said. "He pulled himself. I don't know the extent of it or how serious. He didn't feel, after the first, it was going to hamper him the rest of the game. Obviously he felt different after the first eight minutes of the second."
