I can't remember if this was brought up here yet or not ...

Whether you agree Pyle as head coach is part of the problem or not in the AHL, a hell of a developmental coach is about to be available. Randy Cunneyworth helped many Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panther's draft ****** transition from the AHL to the NHL as the long time head coach of the Rochester Americans.

I hope they at least consider bringing him in.

6 letters there, not sure what that could've spelled though. I think I have an idea.

Glennie/Dillon/Señor Benn/Vincour assigned to Cedar Park. Stars were quite prophetic about missing the playoffs with the Vincour clear day move.

Vincour PPG to make it 3-0. That was a sniper shot from the RW circle. #txstars
Apparently he doesn't shoot into goalies chest at the AHL level.

That's 12 goals in 19 AHL games this year for him.

Could it be stage fright, or something like that but for hockey?

I doubt it. IMO it's just he's young and needs time to adjust his game to the NHL level.

I'm watching the Wolves (Canucks fan) play against your Stars and just wanted to comment on the play of Jack Campbell — an excellent prospect you have there. Excellent athleticism, positioning, and very calm. Very impressed, has had so many game-changing saves in this game.

I think Vincour's biggest problem in the NHL is just one of pace mentally. I think it's most apparent on the cycle where you see him just be late on pucks (that he sometimes recovers, but still) because he's just starting a tick late. A fraction of a second delay on the release is all an NHL goalie needs to cement position and track pucks cleanly.

It may be something that naturally works itself out, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Fraser scored his 37th last night. That puts him back in the AHL lead.

Why didn't we call up Fraser for the St. Louis game? I think he deserved to be there, not sure what else he could possibly do to deserve a game in the NHL.

That's a good question. You have to think a 21 year old with 37 goals is worthy of a shot in the NHL. I'd guess his defensive game still isn't where it needs to be, and the management thinks he might need another offseason + half year in the AHL or something.

Could only have 4 call-ups, and I guess they picked Glennie over him since he had a call-up earlier in the year.

Plus, they'd probably have a better chance of winning with Fraser in the lineup.

Texas' season is over. They lost again 2-1. Dillon had the only goal. Campbell started his 3rd game in 3 days. Besko seems to have been discarded like yesterday's news.

Once Campbell was drafted it was only a matter of time before that happened.

How Besko reacts next season should tell us something about his level of competitiveness. If he responds well to the organization giving every chance for Campbell to show his skills then we could be in a great position going forward.
