Complete inability to get big hits at key times is killing us too. Have we even won a game by more than 2 or 3 runs yet. The bullpen hasn't been good but having more than a 1 run lead once in a while goes a long way to take the pressure off it.
Good grief. Even if the blue Jays played way above their heads and won 95 games, it would mean that that they lost 67 games and a chunk of those are going to be to teams they should have beaten easily.
But it seems that Jays fans on this board are almost as sickening as the Leaf fans. When the going gets tough, they just whine and cry and give up on the team.
In the games the Jays have won Farrell has made decisions that people question at the time, only to then praise him for them once the score is final.
Honestly that says to me that the issue is less about Farrell and more about hte players on the field. You can't have it both ways (Farrell making similar decisions in every game, but calling them "right" if the team wins and "wrong" if they lose)

Quoted for truth.
Now that I'm not super crazy agitated from the loss, I can put things into perspective. It was a sequence of bad decisions by players that contributed to the loss. Whether that be Lawrie's base running, or the one bad pitch by Cordero, it's one game, gotta move on. It's far too early in the season to know what we have. The offense isn't this bad, the bullpen isn't this bad, and on the flip-side, I'm not convinced the rotation is as good as they're showing us. Everything will even out in the ebs and flows of the season. At the end of the day we're still .500. But man oh man, losing to the Orioles brings out the worst in me.
Haven't been in two years...they always asked to see my tickets before I went down the aisle in the three games I went to (three different locations, too).
Was at the game...didn't think there was much Farrell did wrong. Casey and Coco were there to save the game and they didn't...simple as that. I was more frustrated the last game with his BP management, but today he did fine IMO. And last game was the only game so far this year I felt he didn't do a good job managing.
You think they are going to waste that arm of Bautistas at first base? I personally can't see them doing that. Surely they could come up with a better option..
Why not? Moving Joey Bats shores up 1st base problem and you improve outfield D in the same time.
