Tough to say. 1st time offender but the end result being an injury may get him a game.

It might be a blessing in disguise if he gets a game. If Kreider plays and has a strong showing in game 3, the Rangers could roll 4 legit lines for the rest of the playoffs.

Richards and Gabrik Stephan terrible on the power play. They lost the battles and the puck to often. Richards and Gabrik terrible on defense. Alfenson goes out and we donít stand a chance with the Zebras. Remember when Graves tapped Lemieux. S***sburg says Lemieuxís out for the series. Every call went against us, Graves gets suspended for the whole series and Mario Lafake comes back after two games. I have to believe that Torts was OK with the defensive shell in the third period. In the last game when he felt they were in that mood he called a timeout and they were more aggressive. You can go into a defensive mood, but you canít when you have Richards and Gabarikís line out there. As Iím doing this Dave Maloney is annoying the S**t out of me. He sounds like heís auditioning for a job on NBC.

Some people are slow learners. You'd think it would be fairly obvious not to sit back and shell against a team with Ottawa's offense, but perhaps not.

Why would Hagelin get suspended for a elbowing penalty call? Seriously are you ****ing kidding me?...Just cause it bothered Alfredsson now you suspend someone who got the penalty too.

What about the ****ed up call on throwing Dubinsky out???

Quite often, they did not let them do that. Lots of times, stopped them before they got to centre ice, forced them to regroup or stripped them and took possession.
And then, other times....

That's what puzzled me all night -- the two-man forecheck was broken 99 pct of the time and it allowed the Sens free reign of the neutral zone almost all night.

Give him a shot of Novacaine to the testicle.

Joking aside, here's hoping he's good to go on Monday.

Can't take that many penalties an expect to win.

More than half of our team was absolutely gassed in OT. Boyle could barely skate. Losing Dubinsky that early was a significant disadvantage to us.

It's a shame. The Rangers gave everything of themselves tonight, deserved to win, and the game got away from them.

Hank played a great game, not much you can do about an own goal and two bad deflections that land the opposing team wide open chances.

But we could have put this game away. Callahan had a wide open net a few times and didn't bury it. Anisimov had a wide open net a few times and didn't bury it. Gaborik hit a post.

It's a combination of things.

As for the refs... not surprised Ian Walsh was reffing our game tonight. Very reminiscent of the Flyers game and how it was called.

The only thing I'm afraid of is that we might have overextended our energy tonight. It would be very bad if we came out next game lethargic and sloppy due to a lack of energy. We wouldn't be able to win the battles in the neutral zone that we need to to prevent them from transitioning and getting odd man rushes. That's how we got blown out twice in the regular season by them and us winning the playoff series was contingent on our effort and showing up to each game. The Rangers are the better team. It says a lot about Ottawa's team if they have to goon it up to barely beat us.

Survive the first 10 minute surge next game. Bury Anderson EARLY. He's nothing special. Hopefully Dubi comes out and steals the show. Also looking forward to Kreider showing us what he's got next game as I expect Hagelin to be suspended. Dunno where we'd put him, I'd assume Torts doesn't wanna throw him into the fire too soon but I wouldn't be surprised if we opened up with a lack of energy and opportunities for Kreider to move up the lines quickly.

I just... Don't understand. New jersey did it and barely won like we did. Pens did it twice and got reamed. Ugh.

That being said, he is far from the only one who played poorly. The first PP unit is a joke, we could have won this game in the 1st if they capitalized on the 5 minute PP. Of course Hagelin made a costly mistake, and Staal and DZ were far from stellar.

And where the hell was the emotion after the Boyle goal? Whatever was said in the locker room between the 3rd period and OT should never be said again. I have never seen a team come out so flat and unenergized in OT.
Agree with this completely.

Some other points:

-I think Hagelin will get suspended for 1 game, and his speed/game will be missed terribly.
-Hank was run over many times in his crease tonight with no calls. Terrible officiating
-We gave their top players to much time/space in the neutral zone tonight, and it can't happen going forward.
-We better win game 3, or the pressure will be enormous the following game.

So it was just a nut shot? Not that that doesn't hurt, but if that's all it was I'm happy.

Yeah, time and time again the Sens breezed through the neutral zone and entered the zone with speed. That's begging for trouble against Ottawa. Need to be better at slowing those breakouts and need to be better at clearing the zone defensively.

FWIW, 5 of the last 6 SC champs played a 6 or 7-game series in Round 1.

In the third it was more like a one man forecheck at times even zero...
