There has to be retrobution for taking out our captain with such a cheap shot to the head. Someone neds to take out one of their best players Gaborik, Richards or Lundquist should be targeted. Obviously Tortorello has told his players to target our best players & we have to do the same to theirs. He is the A-hole who said players have no respect for other players & two of his players target our best players, he is such a hypocrit. It's an eye for an eye now. I would have no problem with Carkner going after Boyle agian or any of their players right off the bat again. In fact, I would like to see Maclean pull a NJD & put on our toughest guys for the opening faceoff & everybody pair up & drop them with someone.
I hope they just sat him for precautionary reasons. Although on the slow-motion replay it didn't look THAT bad, Alfie was clearly shook up.
I'm almost thinking they should sit him Monday even if he's ok. This is likely his last playoffs and if the Sens manage to beat the Rags he'll be essential down the road. If they don't then I wouldn't risk his health at this point in his career anyway.
I didn't want the team to dress Carkner for game 2 or call up a rookie.
But it looks like Carkner did the one thing he could have done that was actually really positive and if Alfie is done we might have to call up a rookie to have a shot at round 2
Unfortunately the rookie we'd want to give a shot is concussed as well.
Wrong. Retribution for taking out our captain is mandatory. Winning the game is simply not enough. Granted we need to focus on scoring but not at the full expense of letting that little b**** get away with elbowing Alfie in the face.
Revenge isn't needed... yet. It WILL be if Hagelin doesn't get punished harshly by supplemental discipline. That should be at least 3 games (lesser hits have netted cleaner players more).

Because its tied, and most of the remaining games are in Ottawa (3 of 5).

I explored that interpretation, but I thought the home ice advantage switched for a second according to some new rule.
