Portland lead 4-0 after 11 minutes but gave up 5 straight goals to fall 5-4 to Kamloops.
A fantastic comeback for the Blazers, I am glad i flew in for this.
Brandon Saad started to look pretty worn out by the end of the London series tonight. He played a solid game.. but seemed to have lost some of the magic he had earlier in the playoffs.
He'd still be an improvement on Brunette.. but I wouldn't bet on him making a significant impact if he joins the Hawks.
I would love to see what Sharp-Toews-Stalberg/Saad-Kane-Hossa could do. Brunette has no business in the top 6 during the playoffs with this team. He's a boat anchor for any line he's on. Saad is big, physical, quick and can score.

I was wondering that. He didn't have any points in his last 3 games. I did listen to about half his game tonight, and he seemed to be in the thick of the action...but listening is just listening.
He's had a really long year. He's been going hard pretty much since the prospect camp. It's probably best for him to let him relax a bit now.

He had a couple good chances and set up Shalla for a glorious chance off the rush.. but never really seemed able to create much.
I've maintained that he could help the Hawks right now.. but I don't want him put into a situation where he's just worn out and we have every Hawk fan on this board, who barely saw Saad throughout the year calling him a bust.
Either way, it's not very likely that Q plays him. Hopefully he just gets his head out of his ass and takes Brunette out of the line-up.
Rockford's season ended last night with a 4-3 shootout loss to Charlotte.
It was Kent Simpson's first pro game, and he stopped 38 out of 41 shots (.928 SV%)
The Hogs also gave out their awards for the season.
Team MVP: Carter Hutton
Leading Scorer: Brandon Pirri
Best Defenseman: Ryan Stanton
Rookie of the Year: Joe Lavin
Unsung Hero: Peter LeBlanc
Heavy Hitter: Philippe Paradis
Man of the Year: Ben Smith
Saad after his season won't help us in our cup run. He needs some time to rest, has no chemistry and I doubt he would really help us that much
it appears he might prove you right or wrong as it is looking like Saad will indeed be called up for the Hawks possibly in time for Game 3.
Just the word on the streets for now, heard it after the Saginaw game was done, as well as some others reporting the strong possibility of this happening..
either way I am excited to see what this kid can do over a few of our under performers

Called up in what capacity, though?
We're probably about to call up half of Rockford for the playoffs as black aces... I'd be hesitant but very excited to see him get some ice time for us but I'm not sure he'll get it over Hayes right now, let alone guys like Beach, Morin, Pirri etc. who didn't play in the playoffs in the AHL.
I highly doubt Saad will be called up to play in the playoffs especially with guys ahead of him. And Ryan Stanton really is underrated. Second year in a row where he has been, IMO, Rockford's best d-man. Might not get a chance here, but I've always liked him. And Simpson was outstanding in his first pro game. Would love to see what he can do with a competent defense behind him next season.

I hope I'm wrong and Saad comes and plays lights out and will help us. I just don't think it will happen. Saad is the closest rookie we have to make an impact. I don't care about the ELC year as long as we win now
