I'm pretty sure if you add up that series and the Philly-Pitt series, the result tilts toward "no defense". That other series qualifies as negative defense.

Boyle with the instigator penalty in the last minute against the Blues - oh wait, they realized that means an automatic suspension and didn't give him the instigator. Even though he clearly instigated a fight. That is the most useless rule because the refs all know to just never call instigator penalties in the last minute. They don't have the stones to make those calls.

Man, the Pens look like they have so much depth - Dupuis on a 20 game point streak, Kunitz and Cooke playing well but then you look at the Flyers and what they can do. Simmonds, Schenn, Coutier, Giroux, Hartnell, Jagr, Talbot - how the hell do they match up? And I'm an idiot for not seeing that.
