I don't understand, why is there another best of 5. Why not call it a best of 10 then? (even stranger that they have "winner!" right in front of the screen when he didn't actually win?)

IPL deiceded to take it to another level from MLG. They made it so the loser bracket champion had to win 2 bo5's.

Well even though I hate that format, why on earth are they proclaiming him the winner... I actually thought he won, he left his booth there's a "winner!" on the screen. Then they go "Now to the second best of 5!" wut.

Extremely happy Squirtle didn't win, a-moving Protoss is so boring. I wish HerO was at the event.

It's finally working on my computer!

Now, I need your guys' help. Played about 8 matches in my life, and a little campaign. Dislike Protoss. Only really play Zerg or Terran, but lately leaning towards Terran. Had a pretty solid game going, got a lot of infantry and stuff. Then he brings in some invisible guys and ****s me.

I mainly lose to Air or Invisble (**** those Protoss *****es haha). Any basic tips I could have would be great.

Have turrets up at the 7-7:30 minute mark and you will win just about every game where someone tries to all-in you with cloaked units.

Obviously you'll eventually need to be able to scout, but in bronze just make 1 turret at the front of your base where DTs can come in and 1 turret in each mineral line.

Someone on Reddit brought up a good point...

When the player who comes through the Loser's Bracket wins the first series, it should then go to a 1 game sudden death rather than a whole new series.

You could tell that both players were so fatigued by the end of their games, and it resulted in some pretty lackluster performances from both players.

Yes, I am also very happy he lost. No way you could ever stop an a-moving protoss.

But whatever, Squirtle made the wrong decisions in his games in the final series and aLive deserved the win.

Won my first game!

Played random, got Protoss. Built sooo many units. Eventually just decided to get a mothership. He charged with the vast majority of his army (Ultralisks, Mutas, Banelings) around the 35-minute mark, none of them could get my units since they were cloaked under the mothership. Restocked, and then destroyed his second attempt. Didn't attack because if I did, the Overseers/Overlords would've detected me and then my whole plan goes capoot!

Yep. Just survive the first 9 minutes until you have Colossus and chargelots then press A and grab a glass of water.

HotS update:
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/483...4_11_2012#blog

Terran:
Shredder - cut
Warhound - might be cut
Thor - might be back in and might get anti-air spider mine (lol)
might get long range missile to break tank lines in tvt

Protoss:
Oracle - still in
Replicant - cut
Tempest - still in but apparently very long-ranged, no splash, hits air and ground (flying colossus?)
mass recall on nexii still in

Zerg:
Viper - can consume minerals to regain energy, dark swarm only affects bio
Overseer - back in
Nydus worms - worms that spew creep for creep highway, worms that only attack enemy buildings (kinda cool)

It isn't "mass" recalls, blizz said that it was a smaller radius of unit you could recall, not an entire deathball or large group of stalkers. Glad the Replicant and the Shredder are gone, the zerg changes seem all fine, I like the nydus stuff. As for the Tempest, well just sounds like a broodlord now except it can attack air, blizzard really doesn't like carriers.

Why don't they just make the goliath... Problem solved.

Instead of tempest make the carrier better. Oh wait, that makes too much sense now that the Tempest is being used as a single target ranged artillery.
