Hagelin will probably get one game. Not sure if Carkner gets anything - it caused no injury and was punished harshly in-game.

Oh I agree completely. The thing is, Shanahan is kind of a dink and the league as a whole hasn't been afraid to egregiously underpunish teams for intentionally injuring Sens players.

He will play. You know he'll play. He'll play on crutches. He will play and he'll play at Madison Square Garden.

The hit was worse than Keith on Sedin and Keith is a more important player. Keith got 5 games, I expect atleast that for haglin. anything less and I'll be pissed. If one game only retribution will absolutely need to be made. One of their stars should be targeted with the same intent.

Gaustad on Winchester (Crosscheck from behind headfirst into the boards) = 0 games
Wolski on Alfie (Headshot interference) = 0 games
McQuaid on Foligno (Kneeing) = 0 games
Fedotenko on Spezza (Kneeing) = 0 games
Crosby on Foligno (Elbowing) = 0 games

Hmmm, I guess I do see a pattern.

Shanahan played for the Rangers, and mocked Ottawa with his bicycle BS. Hagelin will just get a fine.

Think Colin Greening, maybe less physical and softer hands.

I'm sure there are more. We just have to watch every single game again, who's in?

If Hagelin is in the next game and someone takes him to task for injuring Alfie, and a goal was scored on that power play and the Rangers won that game... I would be OK with that. Just like I would have been OK with us losing tonight.

I am sick and ****ing tired of cheering for a soft, scared, bunch of losers. Tonight I was proud of my team. This team is the best Sens team as far as I'm concerned b/c they stick up for each other and they overachieve.

If you'd rather have one win, so be it. But frankly, those kinds of teams don't go very far, teams that let you take liberties and depend on the ref to protect them. Teams that don't care about each other. I'm a Sens fan - I know those teams are losers.

Concerned that Alfie has another concussion and that will be the last game he plays in.

I guess everyone thought the same thing, if he has a concussion, he will decide that he doesnt have to take this abuse, and retire instead of taking the risk again.... lets hope and pray alfie is ok, that was a horrible, blatant hit against us, in the head... one of the worst hits you can do and does it to our captain, we are pissed, your going down Ragsssss

There has to be at least a suspension for that hit. It's a blatant headshot with his elbow. Plus, it's our captain and it's the playoffs. A much bigger discipline should be given during these times.

Hagelin will get 2 games because the head was targeted and Alfie likely will not play again.

Wolski got nothing, I don't see Hagelin getting anything.

The 5 minute major was appropriate.

Hagelin deserves at least 5 games. The presidence had been set earlier by Sheriff Shanny, if you intentionally target the head of a superstar you are gone for 5 games (Keith on Sedin). Hagelin should be gone for the rest of the series.

A concussion is a different beast, may miss a few games if its serious enough. They don't mess around and take chances with these things anymore
