Titanic: Final Word with James Cameron

So my wife and I are watching this show on the Titanic with James Cameron and a panel of experts all trying to figure out the lingering mysteries of the sinking.... one of the experts kept reminding me of someone. He was a redhead with a beard and his voice was so earily similar... He was the Naval Architect.... His name was Brian Thomas. He looked like and sounded like Tim Thomas. Honest to god. Anyone know if they are related? They HAVE to be. Some google research says he was educated at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

It looks like Tim Thomas was raised in Michigan and went to school in Vermont, so his only relation to Boston is signing with the Bruins. It looks like this Brian Thomas was raised in New York before going to school at MIT, so the Boston connection between the two is probably coincidence.

I couldn't find any relationship through many Google queries. They're definitely not brothers. They could be something like cousins, but the chance that they'd look so alike as cousins seems to me to be slim. I doubt that there's a relationship, just coincidences.

I watched this show and thought it was facinating!

Amazing to see how Titanic broke up and what happened when it hit the bottom.

I can't believe how much mileage this guy has gotten out of a stupid movie about a boat that sank.

This show was pretty entertaining. Cameron showed his arrogance when he told everyone to say what they did wrong in the movie. Then he tried arguing with everyone who came up with something.

Not that I liked Titanic, but if directing the highest grossing movie of all time doesn't get you mileage in Hollywood, I don't know what will. Maybe directing the TWO highest grossing movies of all time will get the job done.
