Adam was playing LD on the 2nd PP unit and looked good with a few clears on the PP. His motor wasn't running overly high, though.
Chewy couldn't score on me last night. He had a bunch of chances and couldn't put the biscuit in the basket.
The defense was deep and really good.
Leggio cleaned up the couple of busted plays and had almost no shot on the goal as the PP point shot deflected off of Brennan's shin pads and past Leggio.
The Amerks owned the Crunch at home this year taking 9 pts in 5 games. Last night, Rochester was playing desperate hockey and the Crunch were playing out the string.
And when the Crunch wanted to play dirty, the Amerks answered back.
Now they get to go into the lion's den in Cleveland. Let's see how they respond to this challenge.
(a) a win at Lake Erie AND one of: (1) a Houston loss (reg/OT/SO) vs. San Antonio;
(2) a Milwaukee regulation loss at Chicago; (3) a Charlotte regulation loss at Rockford.
(b) an OTL/SOL at Lake Erie AND a Houston regulation loss vs. San Antonio AND
a Milwaukee regulation loss at Chicago AND a Charlotte regulation loss at Rockford.
LS: Too bad tonights game isn't on regular TV - I'll be listening online though - Go Amerks!
Did Morrisonn come back? The commentary mentioned he had missed a couple shifts and it didn't seem like an equipment issue, but I don't remember hearing or seeing him after.
I went to one game well they were with Florida and the place was around 2000 people. Last night they had 10000+ which was great and brought back memories from when I was younger and use to go a lot.
Foligno was awesome. The crowd feeds off his energy.
Tropp was great. Fought, had a nice assist. managed to end up on the score sheet, played a real solid game
McNabb played good as did most the D.
Biega impressed me and I thought played better then I was expecting.
Adam didn't impress me once again. This kid doesn't have the necessary wheels.
Varone impressed me real shifty, I would like to see him get a preseason game
Rankin was solid
Gongalsky is a great AHL depth guy for a 3rd/4th line
Turnbull provided energy in a scrap after going hard to the net
Chewy had a rough game, fought the puck a little
Leggio, smaller goalie good reflexes. Didn't get a whole lot of chances as the D cleared most the rebounds but he was great only goal was a deflection/screen.

Defenseman Shaone Morrisonn didn’t play in the third period. He reaggravated the arm injury that kept him out of Tuesday’s game against Grand Rapids. He had been playing hurt before that.
Rolston said they’ll determine his playing status sometime Saturday with hope that plenty of ice treatments will enable him to play.

And it looks like the perfect scenario has to happen to keep them out of the playoffs. including a game having to go to OT tomorrow. not sure about tiebreakers. It doesn't look good with Rochester having few wins.
Houston is winning right now 4-1 (beginning of 3rd), Charlotte is leading by 1 goal late, and Milwaukee is tied at 1 late.
If Milwaukee loses in regulation, the Amerks are in. If Milwaukee loses in OT (or Charlotte blows it and does the same), then the perfect storm to keep us out has to be even more perfect.
EDIT: Charlotte gives one up late, both Charlotte/Milwaukee heading to OT.
Now I think if both lose in OT that should clinch for Rochester.
Milwaukee wins in OT.

So now by my calculations, any one of the following must happen for the Amerks to clinch.
--San Antonio regulation loss to Oklahoma City
--Milwaukee/Charlotte ends in regulation (doesn't matter who wins)
--Houston loses in any fashion to Texas
Houston holds on to beat San Antonio.

Kevin O saids: #Amerks clinch playoff spot if Houston don't win by nine over Texas.
#Amerks also get playoff spot if Sunday's Charlotte at Milwaukee game doesn't go to OT.
The #Amerks also could clinch if San Antonio loses at home in regulation to Oklahoma City.
LS: Even if we only need the Texas-Houston one to happen - I think its safe that we
are in - no way Texas loses by nine goals! Drew Schiestel won't let it happen! If they
get down by six or seven-he will just stay on the ice and in front of his net and be like
a second goalie! LOL!

Reason: added that San Antonio loss has to be in regulation

Even if the first one is only true - I think we are definiately in - no Texas loses by 8 goals
or more? Drew won't let it happen!
The San Antonio one needs to be in regulation.
And I wasn't sure about the tiebreak between Rochester/Houston...guess that must be tied, hence goal differential coming into the picture.
1st tiebreaker is ROWs. If Houston wins tomorrow (in reg/ot), both teams would be at 30 ROWs.
2nd tie breaker is points in season series. Rochester played Houston twice- each team won a game in regulation.
3rd tiebreaker is goal differential. So, I agree. Schiestel and the Stars shouldn't let Houston beat them by more than 8 goals.
4th tiebreaker is Goals scored in series: Rochester 9, Houston 7. Bam.
I'm excited for playoff hockey of some sort!
If Houston miraculously wins by > 8 goals, one of Milwaukee/ SA/ Charlotte would need to lose in regulation.
Milwaukee 35 SOW
San Antonio 35 SOW
Charlotte 32 SOW.
Kevin O updated: So to recap: #Amerks are in if 1) CHAR-MILW ends in regulation -
or if 2) SA loses to OKC in regulation - or if 3) HOU doesn't win by more than 8 over TEX.
You're an #Amerk addict if Sun. you're on theAHL.com listening to/watching feed of
CHAR-MILW (4:00) or OKC-SA (4:30) or TEX-HOU (6:00).
LB: I'll be following online at theahl.com - just reloading the boxscores every five minutes or so -
maybe listen to the final couple of minutes of CHAR-MILW if one is ahead.
The #Amerks can finish as high as 6th or as low as 9th. Standings say at least 2 teams likely to
jump past Amerks. 7th or 8th most likely.
Amerks have a partner! - PSBJoyOnTheSens - #BSens officially finish last in #AHL - second team
to go from #CalderCup champs to last place. First was 1968-69 Rochester Americans.
